Uses for hologram

I'm trying to think of different ways to make use of the hologram other than just planting it out in the open as a distraction.

So far I figured you could plant it semi-hidden while you wait (in a better hiding place). Then when someone stumbles across your semi-hidden hologram and panics a bit, you can blast them and really make them panic

Also it could be good for running away. You could run around a corner, plant your hologram as if it was someone camping, waiting for someone to run by. And you could either hide somewhere near by and then attack the confused enemy. Or just keep running for safety, hoping that your hologram bought you those precious seconds that you need to get away.

Any other ideas?

I was thinking that if a group of people were to use them at just one spot then the enemy might think twice before going to attack that spot
