Do you live in Sweden and are you ordering over seas? If you are, remember you'll be paying custom fees as far as I'm concerned!
Here's my opinion on your build: (remember it's only an opinion) Don't need this unless your EVGA 8800 GTS 512mb is overheating/noisy. Do you intend to overclock your video card? Else, I'd wait. Quote:

In my opinion, you do not need this. The ZALMAN CNPS9500 already comes with its own thermal compound, which is already great. I bought the CNPS9500 for my mom's PC and it's definitely a solid product. I honestly don't think this is necessary. Like I said before, if it seems to be overheating, you can buy these, but otherwise, it's a waste of money. Quote:

Again, I don't think you need this. Plus, it's quite a noisy fan (28dBA). Your Thermaltake Armor already comes with 4 fans included (I think), I doubt you need more cooling, apart from the Heatsink... Quote:
The difference, from what I read, from the Q6600 B3 and the Q6600 G0 is their power consumption. B3 = 105W G0 = 95W I have a preference for the newer chipset X38, such as the ASUS Maximus Formula for instance, although it's around 70$ more. Quote:

Yeah you could save cash by not getting the water cool gear, watercooling is just showing off in my opinion, Just get yourself a custom fan for a fraction of the price. Plus most of these custom jobs come with "thermal compound" so i don't see the need on buying extra.

In my opinion, water cooling isn't as useful as it used to be since processors do not heat as much as they used to. You can hit under 30C on idle with a good enough heatsink, and under 60C on loads. Also, I'm taking into consideration that your processor might be overclocked.
As for additional fans, I don't think it's worth it since the case already comes with enough (hence the price...). As I said, if you see your processor/video card/memory is heating, then perhaps you can buy more cooling afterwards, but I'd definitely wait and see. |
