Default Vista Totaly Lame?

Well was on one website and saw a advertizement about Vista, went in there to see what they have to say.
http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US...orwindows.aspx
Tbh i lmao when i saw it, first look how awesome the game is that they have there, the bunnies and a rocket flying around.. WOW!!!!!!!!
Secondly i like how they say: "with the hottest titles around and Windows Vista compatibility" the title is Games for Windows. Im not sure how hot that is but one thing i'll have to say, if Huxley is to be for Vista the only way "Games for window" will match this is that the game for Vista will be flying OUT of the window, if they meant that by their title then sure it's hot.

Well the only thing i liked about that was: "Most Games for Windows branded titles work on both Windows XP and Windows Vista based PC’s and support Windows accessories and peripherals. "
Hope if Huxley is to be Game for Window then i hpe it would work on XP too, but they say MOST which can be 99.999% and the rest wont be for XP which could be Huxley so we can't know.
Well im not even sure which games they are talking about cause the game they have there... Well you understand =)

Anyhow, you people get the point and it gives us little hope that if it is to be for Vista the it might be for XP too cause they aint that stupid to start making all games for Vista and hope that everybody will buy Vista just for that.

What!

That advertisement just made me hate it more! What the hell, is that supposed to make people want to buy Vista? They ought to come up with something better than that.

Anyway, when I bought Tiberium Wars, I had no idea it was recommended for Vista. Lyckily it was possible to play on XP too, so I passed on the minimum on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srl

Well im just happy to know that they don't make all games Vista exclusive. I guess that games that aren't made for XP and only for Vista, those games have higher requirements that XP doesn't meet and only Vista does. But for me it feels good that they won't make games for Vista only, unless it requires a lot.

PC version of Halo2 is Vista only. Maybe because you can play against / with Xbox 360 players as well. I don't know if you can do that or not, but it would make sense. However as it's Vista only, I don't think the PC version does so very good.

The only reason it is like that is because of DirectX 10. It pisses me off. The only compatible cars with that are the 8800 series. So not only will you need Vista - but you'll also need an 8800 card to get the full benefit of it. I'm telling you, this is one huge market scheme.

Well yeah that's what i've meant, then games that are Vista ONLY are those games that have higher requirements such as DirectX 10. Not sure what else it could be dunno much about Vista, the thing i know for sure is that it's a scam.

vista isn't as bad as alot of tech sites make it out to be.
it's main problem is compatibility with devices such as printers, etc.
its a big problem, but other than that vista is pretty sweet.

a few annoying things though:
that bar at the top that goes "file, edit, view, etc." isn't there anymore. some applications have the option to turn it back on but usually hard to find.

office '07 looks completely different, i felt like a n00b again until i got the hang of it.

all in all, vista is sickeningly user-friendly. if you can handle it, upgrade.
i'm sticking with XP until DX-10 is an absolute nessecity.

I like my Vista, I haven't had any problems gaming wise with it yet.

However I did not know Vista was the only one that could use dx10

( building a new comp and have a 8800 gtx, but with xp pro. )

Eh. That sucks.

Vista's problem is not the lack of device drivers, it's the bloatware the kills. When I was running Vista at idle the computer needed 512 MB of RAM out of 1GB. "Why?" I asked. Well I have no idea why Vista need 512 MB at all times, but when you're gaming and your OS already takes up one half of your RAM you can't play the game as well as you should.

Wow Microsoft never gives up on dominating all other companies no matter how far ahead they are. "Games for windows".
I see vista as a future option for me when the work out the bugs, it does seem to have some good features tho.
