The case that I currently have, I don't know what it's called though... I've looked everywhere on it for a name.

Did you verify if the size was correct? (ATX)

How's the air cooling currently on that case?

The size is right, but how do I find out about the cooling? I can hear/feel a fan...

I meant to ask if the air flows good? Perhaps you could customize it to add more fans... that's if you feel it's necessary.

As for the hard drives, or more specifically the WD Raptor, that's only a plus if you have the money.

Get a better CPU fan. The fans that come with CPUs suck. I need to go pick up one myself. Right now I have 3 fans besides the CPU fan, one on the side one on the back and one on the northbridge (mmm how many people know what that is?). I need a better hard drive too all I have is a 160 gb and it's about full.

You don't need a third party cpu fan unless you plan on overclocking, and even then it just depends on how far. Core2duos are known for OC'ing pretty far with their stock heatsink/fan.

A computer guy is coming by to fix my parent's computer this saturday, I'll talk to him about some of this. Thanks everyone!

I can't edit my post and I'm the only one online... What is a good motherboard that dosen't have a wireless internet thing in it? I might just be getting a wire to my computer so I won't need wireless internet.

Due to being low on money, I need to get the 8800 GTS 320MB instead of the GTX. Oh well.

Why not wait till the end of the summer? You'll have more money by then, and there won't be any big releases until August as far as I know.

Thhere is a reason why I have to do it now, it's a money thing, the sooner I do it the better.

So what are some good motherboards without the wireless thing?

ASUS P5B, EVGA nForce 680i, etc...

Way too many of them...

Also, it seems the prices keep dropping (well on memory that is). I've seen 2GB DDR2-1066mhz for as low as 179.99 before MIR, and 139.99 after mail in rebate. (CAN $)

Sorry for the late post.

Quad cores prices dropped. Might be worth checking.

Quad core? Like dual corex2? Cool I'll take a look.

EDIT: WHOA! This Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor is less than the E6700 I was going to get! I'm saving money by buying something better... awesome.

It's to make way for the G0 (different model, supposedly greater performance). I'd wait for it. It's suppose to be only 20$ more.

Quad cores still aren't even supported by most applications, and most games won't even spend much time trying to utilize them. So I'd wait for actual benchmarks before buying any new cpu.
