licenses won't be bought with currency, you will get points to spend on licenses and skills through battle experience

Don't think that would be possible, since they say you will "Earn" the point through both PvE and PvP, it's like talking about skill-points from WoW which you can't trade nor do anything else but learn skills with them. It's pretty much as i could say, i can sellmy career points from BF2142 cause i already have the highest rank achiveable with those points, i sell them and people buy. That's just simply impossible since there is no such function of transfering them.

I always assumed a Phantoms best wep. would be a sniper rifle. standing on tall buildings or hiding in bushes. and snipeing!. Personaly I am gonna be an Avenger. but yeah.. thats my 2 cents worth

I belive no matter what sniping gun,a head shot is a damn head shot. you should be dead the minuit that bullet hits your skull

The site says that you can use any gun you want for each class so if you wanna equip your Phantom with rockets....hell its your funeral. lol

I'm really looking forward to Huxley. And the sniper class cant have to overpowered close combat skill, that would just not be fair. I think they will do some changes when/if it comes to many complaines from the beta.

You're less than inhuman, a pitiful defect, a failed science project. Sending you back to your maker would be an act of mercy

i read in a PCGamer arcticle on Huxley that phantoms will be able to use all long ranged weapons inlcuding Sniper Rifles, AS WELL AS Rocket LaunchersWHO KNEW? This arcticle was written in beta so i don't know if they are still doing that or wat not. Also the phantom will also be able to use some sort of short range teleportation, as well as short range weapons like i dunno an assault rifle or machine gun. The only thing that makes them different from the othere classes is the fact that they have less armor and more speed. So what you could do is charge at an enemy. As soon as he starts firing teleport thru him pull a 180 then shoot him in the back. Priceless.

I will always be a sniper, but im hoping its just not as easy as halo sniping.I want a challenge. I played planetside for a wial and they had a sniper bullet the size of your fist , but it had 1 round before reloading.So heres my idea of what a sniper should have , skills and equipment

1. Light armor ( increased speed ) over other types of armor
2. Dagger ( Mele combat )
3. Pistol or some sort of other small side arm ( for those pesky buggers who keep outa range of you but close enuff for you not to use sniper rifle. )
4. Sniper rifle of course

Skills

1. Cloak ability (standing still or running. )
2. Speed burst (for thoughs sticky situations.)
3. Increased reloading speed ( but only if the reload time on the sniper rifle is horrendisly bad.)

These are some of the skills a sniper should but idk iv been playing planetside for quite a wial and thats where i got the idea for increased reloading speed skill but idk it may and may not stick.But ofcourse with the cloak ability there should be another skill that avengers have that can detect them or somthing or a time limit on how long the phantom can stay cloaked.otherwise it can be easily abused.For example cloak all day and just run around with sniper rifle and find nme and shoot , but i dont know all the facts about huxley so i could be wrong on some things.

i think they should come with a submachine gun also. like mp5/mp5k, p90, or *Uzi*(my fav). plus special equipment like nightvision/infrared radar helmets would help. I also think a pistol would be too noisy for a phantom.. and a knife/dagger works in perfectly as well.

When I think of the Phantom, I cant help but think of that episode of GiTS when Saito went up against The Major and Bato,s squad. That to me is to a tee what the phantom should be in this game.

Oh and BTW you amost described the Sniper class in BF2142 to a detail, you should check that out if you havn't.

I love all of these visionary people who offer game development ideas. Just so you guys know, there's information on snipers out there, and there's information regarding this thread, so there's no need for visionaries when it's already been developed. Anyway. On topic, Phantoms will be able to use any weapons, but it depends on what you use your "skill" points on, but I believe it's something along the lines of:

Sniper Rifle: Requires 1 Point for Phantom whereas it requires 3 Points for Enforcers.
