Well there is a infrared vision helmet ability, so you will be able to spot stealthers. There is also a mention of having to recharge the power source you carry with you, so you have a set amount of energy to use on abilities before you have to head back to base and recharge.

I hope you can buy extended energy packs because im gonna major in scouting so i wanna be able to stay out longer then most stealthers.
It would suck to be behind enemy lines and then run out of energy lol. |

I'm sure they will be some way to use it. Just only use it when you need it or something. Like when your just running through the field you don't really need it, but then when you get near an enemy base you turn it on and sneak in.

There are a few possibilities, I think. First, you might be able to get better and better power sources. Second, higher level gear might simply use less energy than low level. Third, simply levelling up might give you more energy to use.
Maybe all three for all we know, or something completely different. |

Well technically you can use any weapon. how good you will be with that weapon depends on what you spend your other license points. And if your a phantom then it will be less license points to get a sniper and more to get a missle launcher or something.

Ok so I pride myself in being a gaming connoisseur so I'm going to tell you straight up what a phantom is going to be able to use, and you can quote me on this later when the game is released. Phantoms are going to be able to chose from a variety of sniper rifles ranging from relatively fast firing but low damage sniper rifles with not as long range to high damage accurate but slow reloading rifles with probably a lower ammo capacity which will be for the higher skilled players. They will also most likely receive a plethora of sidearm choices a sword that will probably take a while to swing but will do sick melee damage they will probably receive a fast striking dagger that will do less damage but will deal tons of burst damage. As another sidearm they will get pistols of sorts with similar ranges to the sniper rifles. However given these ranges one will be able to customize each weapon providing a special weapon individualizing the game to the fullest extent. For example when you reach higher levels there will probably be more expensive harder to obtain weapons which will have (using my previous *Censored Word**Censored Word**Censored Word**Censored Word*ogy) a high damage long range sniper that will have a large ammo capacity, or you will be able to get an extremely light weight sniper which will allow you to move around and pull off some close range wet work for a load of fast needed kills.
So there's my 2 no scratch that there's my 15cents hope to see you in the game I'll be the guy picking you off from half the map away and then right behind you with my pistol, ~|) 3 /\/\ 1 5 3~ |

That's quite the obvious thing that will happen.
But thanks for summing it up. Though i would definately like to see some sort of stealthed melee action for the "i have been spotted no where to go" situations. -Dynatics, |

I like the fatality and laser sight ideas( not shure howi lasesr sight would help that much though) I already can see my head rolling on the floor by some crazy move.....definatly better then just dropping a guy when you wack the back of his head with your gun

Wait do you or don't you mean it? Try to proof read your posts before posting. Or you can get Firefox 2 that has a spell check.

Okay, according to released information so far, the sniper is a one shot per mag, AND they are developing hit zones and since a sniper is a sniper, it is more than likely going to be a one shot kill to the face. BUT! They also released that there is going to be a skill that can go in an armor slot called 'Headshot Resistance' meaning you take less damage, and I'm guessing its going to be quite significant. So if you are the kind of person that gets annoyed by single shots to the head, get that skill. Now, as for melee weapons for phantoms, there should be a knife, not a sword. Ideally, this knife should deal a one hit kill, but it comes with charges meaning you can only do it so many times (In other words it has ammo for one hit kills). By this, the Phantom fits its 'assassin' description. I've played PS like many of us, and the knife wasn't greatly overpowered, it took two swings and if you were good you could kill them before they got the second one off. Keep in mind they needed an ability to kill you with two hits, and they had to go into secondary mode which gave you away. Whats my point? Well, I feel that if you ARE going to sneak around and knife someone and kill with one hit, you should A) Have charges B) Come out of stealth completely, giving yourself away C) Make an armor slot that boosts melee damage [Fits both Enforcer and Phantom((Melee of course)), and D) Give cloaking a cool down, meaning you activate it and you stay stealthed until you take an action. After that, you have to wait, say, 10 seconds for the (Totally making this up) 'armor core to cool down to prevent damage to the user'.
Anyway, if you read my long post, thank you and I hope you enjoyed my ideas. |
