I need to kno

I recently read an article about the 360 that says that you wont really see the next gen graphics unless you have an HD-TV i would like to kno if there is anyone on the forumz who has a 360 that they play on a reg TV... and if so how is the graphics an if possible try sendin me a pic of it...

Also i would like to kno if yu need a HD tv for the PS3 coming soon.....

an lets have a console war on the forums which is better PS3 or 360?

Personally don't have a 360, but from those I know and a friend who works at circuit city, they've all attested to the fact that you do need one to actually get the most out of the graphics. They say a normal TV is good enough to play, but it's not much better than that of the last gen of consoles.

well, the XBox 360 is reasonably new, and not many game developers have gotten use to the new software etv. available on the 360.
I use a reg. TV and I still get a pretty good picture, although I'd imagine it would be way better on a HDTV.
We can only just wait for game developers to work with the new software and be able to make full use of the XBox 360's capabilities

I have a 360 and play on a HDTV. When i compare the graphics of me playing games like oblivion on HD instead of regular it just blows me away. Of corse regular TV graphics are great but the HD capabilites just puts the iceing on the cake. Also some games ( The not so great ones) cant even go HD. You have to look on the back of the game box to see if it can. Some games can go all the way to 1080i some 720i and some not even HD capatable . And, yes you will need a HDTV for the PS3, or it will be optional like the 360.

the graphics are definately noticable .. Mine looks great on my 50 hz peice of shit tv. i think im getting an HD tv soon. Plus some regular tv's are better then others. I was comparing afew in asda the other day actualy and there was a dvd screen on all of them. On some of the pictures the angled lines would be jagged , but i found on the " sharp " tv's the lines were nice and smooth. just depends

xbox 360 is better in many ways...

First of all i would bring up the point about xbox live. Xbox live is the best online service for any consel so far.

Playstation had years more experience in the gaming industry, yet the origional xbox blew playstation 2 away on technical specifications.

xbox 360 is reliable ... its been out for almost a year and ps3 has been delayed again in the uk.

people keep going on about how the ps3 have " blue ray discs " but i read an artical saying that xbox have already been creating a " hd disc reader " which will be just as good it, it just depends which way the gaming industry decides to go to.

I dont think im getting any one of those two simply because of the graphics it has to offer. An HDTV costs $1000, quality ones are at $2000. and another $350 for the xbox360... or another $600 for the PS3... =/ Although i do have an HDTV now, i still think that the resolution is not good enough even at 720p...

Id be better off having a $200 20" widescreen monitor, core duo for $200, 7900gtx for $300... cheaper, but better. I play most of the time fps games, thus mouse and keyboard works like magic for me. xbox360 and ps3 for me has nothing new to offer, because all it can do, my pc can do... =/

Im buying the wii for innovation of their controller, i dont care much about the graphics on wii because if i want to experience good graphics all i need to do is switch on my pc. The wii is something i can sit or stand on the couch and have fun with my mates around. .. or just to get away from keyboard and mouse for some time. Cheap and small too =D imma buy one.. (take note i have ps2, psp, and the psx, so prolly ill buy the ps3 a year later its release... just because of mgs4, final fantasy, and the lot)

Well, in terms of graphical quality, I can tell you that its worth it. Just look at Chromehounds, BF:2 MC, Call of Duty 2, Fight Night Round 3, Burnout: Revenge, and Ninety Nine Nights, they look amazing. I don't have an HDTV, but the games still look good regardless.

However, don't judge solely on graphics. Gameplay is what will determine how much fun you have with a game, not graphics.

its not all about the hd tv anyway. If the graphics were all about the hd tv then how come they can make movie scenes completly out of computer graphics that look amazing no matter if there played on a normal tv or a hd tv. The only reason the graphics look a bit better and i say a bit . Is because the screen can handle thousands more pixles making the image appear sharper.

Thus high definition? Thing is movies and animations are rendered or filmed (Usually) at the standard 30 fps. Fine for a normal refresh rate. Computer games push 100 FPS so a higher refresh rate makes for smoother gameplay. Which is not to say that you can't play it on a normal TV, and people do. But you get more from an HDTV and you really can see the difference between this generation and the last's graphic quality.

You'll be losing hair by the time blue ray discs are as cheap as DVDs. Enjoy shelling out extra money for the games just so they can be on a fancy disc with massive amounts of information all to be loaded through a teeny little 256 megs of RAM.

yeah im pretty much not going to get a PS3. pretty much everything that i want is on the 360 anyways. there were only 2 games i wanted that were on the PS3 only. Assassin's Creed and Unreal Tournament 3 and now Assassins Creed is coming out on the 360 and im going to get UR 3 on my PC so im good.
