Here are some videos of jumps to the game...watch the jumps and you pretty much get the jist of the game's movement and aim and stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNPBB4hYei4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJgxj...elated&search= It's a retardi (atari) game that had such a huge potential to be big, bigger then UT. Anywa, it's like UT so you gotta dodge but these are longer dodges, and wall jumps that are further/higher. Quote:

There are a couple different aspects to this which need to be addressed. First, FPS usually have a lot of skills that translate.. basic aiming for instance. So when changing games(or returning to a game) you just need to adjust your old aiming schema a bit and pick up a few other technical aspects and you're back in action.
The second thing to consider is that most players have a particular playstyle they fall into, and in some games their strategy is a successful one, while in others it is not. In UT2k4 defensive players are rewarded enormously, but this is not such an effective way to play in, say, Quake. It is often very very difficult to change the core of your style once you develope it. The most significant difference is that Pro players train, and everyone else just plays the game. Screwing around in servers for 6 hours a day might help you get past the learning curve, but after that its useless as far as "practice" goes, not to mention you just end up playing fatigued. A few games a week spent seriously for improving an aspect of your game is all anyone needs to improve(I should know, I'm absolutely terrible gamer as far as natural talent). Moreover once you've become good, you dont lose your skill except that you become a bit "rusty". People have different limits, sure, but most never even come close to reaching them. Either because they dont care to, or they dont know how to. And for your question... What kind of gamer are you? It's too hard to place.. you have to realize that the VAST majority of players are actually pretty awful, just having fun in some 400v400 player server or some modded/unrecognized gametype. Getting angry at dying/losing has nothing to do with it, lots of skilled players are hotheads, but it does make them try harder. It sounds to me like you are nowhere near as good as you could be, if you have the mentality to get there. |

Its hard to define exactly what skills translate; aiming, awareness, predicting your enemies actions. Often times when you change games from something like UT to a tactical shooter, you have to adapt your aiming schema(method) or create another one. Even if you reinvent your aiming (like reworking your baseball or golf swing) you bring some of your ability with you. Ok, aiming is a pretty bad example, I usually tell people who get frustrated with their aim NOT to think about it too much. You get more familiar with how you aim when you get better, then you can get really technical with it. If you really want to improve you almost have to focus on a single game first anyway. Playing other games on the side is fine, but trying to master two simultaneously is a good way to fail, it's just too much for the brain to handle, or something... |

Just wondering but i seem to have lost my skills or something. I don't play much games lately unless it's company of heroes but when i do play fps (and this happened before my long ass break) my hands kinda feel weird and my hand bobbles just before i'm about to shoot and when i'm in a firefight my hand feels really slow and kinda sluggish, been going on for months and months and months now. What could this be? sometimes it's just impossible to even try to aim at all. Nothing is wrong with my hands except this problem, sometimes it feels like a squeeze too. Also it's been really consistant since i played the easy aiming game called quake wars, just han't been the same since even more so.
Just wondering what's wrong, that's all.

Nope, it's the same. Almost as low as i can go, and 1 game 1 click away from being 0.
0.1 to be exact. i can't play with high mouse sensativity, i never could.
