I think Oblivion for the PC is a better choice it's cheaper and works the same plus all the add-ons are cheaper for the PC as well.
But none-the-less a very good game. The scenery is beautiful, but the character design leaves a little to be desired

its a ton of fun, and not many games out there that are still fun at 100+ hours of gameplay (especially single player games)
my advice is dont rush through the game, admire all the details, take your time and enjoy it. I would avoid using instant travel also, it somwhat ruins the enjoyment factor. The third elder scrolls game, Morrowind did not have instant travel, and the exploration was alot more intense when you have to walk the routes yourself, perhaps running into ambushes, bandits, ect.

The main story is next to non-exesting, the same goes for dialoge and thoughtfull quests. But the game still is a hell of a lot fun, just dont go in with a ambition of getting a great story told to you. And dont listen to the one above(:P) and make good use of fast traveling, there is no use to ride the same ways a hell of alot of times just for doing a simpl contract(my personal reference).

Yeah Pc version is pretty sweet... im having some bad problems with the graphics though, seems like others are having the same problem, but its alright..... I have to agree with one of the above comments, you should take your time at the game, theres plenty to do... For example.
one of my charactors is a High elf, Vampire, Battlemage, who is a member of the thiefs guild. Now thats just a hella funny combo

this soudns crazy but i enjoyed playing fable for xbox more then i did oblivion. I dont feel oblivion has enough interaction in it. I was hoping to see cities with thousands of people in them etc but i didnt . Oblivion has stunning graphics and has endless hours of gameplay. But for me it simply got too repetative , i mabey would of kept it also if the loading times wernt so long . For the xbox anyway it was really bad .
