1. Return to Castle Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory
First and only game i have been doing some serius clan gaming in, starting to grow a bit tierd of it after soon 3 years of plaing it. But thats probely more of the lack if intrest of playing the game in hte 6 on 6 form on a more competetive level in the clan then personal lose of intrest.

2. Command & Conqer: Red Alert
First game i ever playied, was complety stuck in it for like 1-2 years

3. Deus Ex
The story line and the game world got me hocked, even if the actual FPS part of the game did suck big time. Realy liked the story with the twists, and when you got to take down ghunter with the code word... Mmmmmm =)

4. Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War: Winter Assult
Secound semiserius atempt for competetive onlinne RTS gaming. Havent worked out to well, i cant my micro to add up when i facing better players 1 on 1. So im mostley sitting around with some m8ts and pwning clans that thinke they can play :P

5. Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings + Expansion pack(dont remember the name for it)

The best game i playied in a game that i can remember is from this game, i and a scholl friend rocked some of our other scholls m8ts in a real tight and hard game. He actualy chose to go with the game then for a better grae in a subject. And he dont regret it...

So many, I cant really decide but this is the jist of it:

1: RTCW: ET, soooo many hours consumed by it and best of all it was free!
2: UT 99: Still think this is the best of the UT series, and perhaps the best multiplayer shooter imo. Deck 16 just rocked.
3: WCIII: TFT, the battles were fun and map making was awesome, drastically extended the life of the game. Battle.net helped keep the game strong right up until WoW.
4: ESIV: Oblivion: Great combat system, much better than the normal RPG dicerolling system. Looks great with HDR on too.
5: Devil May Cry: A game that made you feel like you were so cool, pulling off flashy moves a lightning quick dodges.

Other notable games: FF series, FEAR, Rome TW, syndicate wars, Warhammer darkomen, DoW, I could go on and on.

Looking forward to Spore, WH:Mark of Chaos and of course Huxley.

1. Ultima Online
- you simply can't beat pre-UOR or pvp server ultima online, it's the best MMORPGing there ever has been in my opinion, and it is still one of the most heavily played MMORPGs out there.
2. Tribes II
3. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
4. Battlefield (the first one, I haven't played the second)
5. Soldat

1: Tetris. Classic, and I still play it today. Probably have played that more in my life than any other game.

2: Ultima Online. From beta till UO:R, the game was amazing. However, the carebears of the gaming world demanded safety, and ruined the best PvP in an MMORPG ever. If it hadn't turned into the complete and utter crap it is now, it'd still be my #1

3: Team Fortress Classic. My favorite FPS ever. So much fun to just pub, or actually play matches in. Still the best game physics that I've come across.

4: Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings and The Conquerors Expansion. My favorite RTS. Had a great amount of depth to it, and I'd often sit for 12 hours playing a single game against friends.

5: Twisted Metal 2: Countless hours wasted on this game with friends. Bought a PS2 along with a few games...and now my PS2 is just used for watching DVD's and playing this game.

My top five would look something like that, in no particular order.

Quake 2
Quake 3
Half-Life 1 / Counter-Strike
Call of duty 1

1. PlanetSide (PC)
It was the coolest game ever before Core Combat, after that they just started dumbing down everything until it took 18+ missiles to kill a tank, it was rediculous. I remember playing it for the first time shortly after release and seeing galaxy aircraft landing to pick up troops and massive columns of tanks forming to go onto a continent, what an experience.

2. Battlefield 2 (PC)
What PlanetSide should have been, only on a smaller scale. BF2 suffers from the fact that it's difficult to get all your clan on one team and one server, then there is the other issue of vehicles that exist that are really overpowering. The urban maps are the most fun simply because the best action is when things are grunt vs. grunt.

3. Counter Strike (PC)
Having one life made things real tactical so people weren't just fearlessly rushing in. The game died for me when they dumbed down the accuracy of the weapons with CS: Source. The maps were another problem, even 6+ years after it's original release people still play old maps like dust that have both teams meeting at the same old spots round after round giving it a not-so-tactical feel of repediveness.

4. Team Fortress Classic (PC)
While there was a lot of mindless shooting and dying the game was a lot of fun because there were so many different classes to play so you could adapt to different situations. Sometimes I still find myself going back and playing a few rounds.

5. Goldeneye (SNES)
While Castle Wolfenstien and Doom might have been the first FPS for many of us old schoolers Goldeneye was probably the first game to get us hooked on the multi-player FPS, I remember having a fun time barricading myself in with proximity mines and letting everyone else run into them winning the game for me.

Endings make the game, after sitting through a mutli-hour experience only to be disapointed, or forget the game afters its done is crap. Leaning back as the credits scroll and thinking, wow what did I just experience is a great feeling, and so few games can deliver that feeling. Kotor (and a bit of the second one have that feeling, as do the ones ive listed.

1.Metal Gear Solid

One of the best stories, and action of its time, a true classic, fun and funny, even emotional, and to me its got enough replay to go through it over 100 times... AWESOME ending.

2.Fallout

Tough to say which fallout is better, but I choose Fallout, over Fallout 2. I was into this from the start, even Wasteland, with Fallout 2 came a whole new wave of fanboys. I wish they could do an MMO in this style and not fuck it up, wandering the wastes, scanveging, combat, trading, ect.

3.Half-Life

Revolutionary gameplay, there was NOTHING like this and it sparked the entire new generation of FPS games. No more "levels" plot told on the fly, scripted events, multiple ways to handle somthing, not "uber" linear. The second one, while a fun game was also lacking the feeling of playing a great game, and the ending was garbage, ending to the first one was great, but repeating the same thing? garbage.

4.Halo

There is just somthing about this game, and I cant quiet put my finger on it. Halo 2 is definatly lacking what its older brother had, a classic and the multiplayer is excellent. Decent ending too. Was thinking of rating KOTOR here for number four... perhaps its a tie but i must list number five as is...

5.Pre-CU SWG/UO(pre-trammel)/EVE Online

MMO's I put these last, because the game is what was great, but the community. Nothing against the games, they are fun, but designed for constant multiplayer/interaction. Classics in their own right.

Damn, there are far too many great games, we need an honorable mentions post too...

Unreal Tourny (99)
Quake 2
Dawn of War
Carmageddon
Twisted Metal 2
Deus Ex
Team Fortress Classic
BF42/Desert Combat
Call of Duty 1+2
Command and Conquer (all good)
Planetside
GoldenEye
Jedi Knight (series)
Unreal (1 only)
GTA (1 only)

Counter Strike gets a low rating for me, I played it back in 1.3-1.5 days(alot). It was a great game populated by idiots and childish retards unfortunatly, everything was shit-talk and i'm leeter than you. Good game played by bad people(not all of them).

Damm it, i got to many favorite games to choose just 5

But i guess the 5 i enjoyed most would be:

1. Final Fantasy 8
2. Command and Conquer Tiberium Dawn
3. Command and Conquer Red Alert / Red Alert - Counterstrike / Red Alert - Retaliation
4. Command and Conquer Tiberium Sun / Tiberium Sun - Firestorm
5. and then 5 would be either Ace Combat 4 or 5 (can't decide which one i liked better)

but then theres so many others that at least deserve an Honorable Mention:
Fahrenheit (Think it might be called Indigo Prophecy or something like that to the Americans), Age of Empires 2 and the expansion "The Conquerors", Deus Ex, Deus Ex - Invisible War, Planetside and Core Combat, Devil May Cry 1 and 3, Final Fantasy 7, 9, 10 and 10-2, Genji, The original Unreal Tournament, Nexus the Jupiter Incident, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, Black and White, Metal Gear solid 1 and 2, Broken Sword 1 and 2 (never found a copy of 3  ), and a hell of a lot more that just aren't coming to my mind right now
