That's not my site, it's this guy who has the best gaming podcast in the world. I highly recommend it as he's had personal interviews with Will Wright and even played a build of the game for a few minutes at the last E3.

Just finished downloading the podcast: he makes the game sound very boring.... Steve sorta sucks at this podcast thing.

EDIT: I also just read that Spore may not be the final name. It might be SimSpore ---how gay is that? (no offense to gays)

I cant wait to play this game, the possibilities are endless... and im pretty sure that video on google is pretty old, and it also looked near complete... im hoping they add a good multiplayer version... then i wouldnt turn it off :lol:

Well, Spore isn't really close to being complete, despite what that video looked like. They actually rebuilt the game from the ground up recently to correct a lot of engine problems they were having, and it may not be out until 2007. :( (Could come out in 2006 though, it's hard to say.)

Hopefully Spore will be at the next E3 as well as Huxley. Most likely yes they will be. Now if a concept such as spore generated into a single character gameplay and possibly online. Wow!

Defeat enemies and evolve your chracter with better resistant natural armor to explosions and such. Sure it may sound a little lame but hey anything is worth trying. :wink:

As a matter of fact Guyver is bio-boost armor.

I'm gonna make a city of Guyver's. A whole planet!

EDIT:

I'm suprised Landain hasn't said anything about such an exquisite game..... I thought he would like something as sophisticated as a game about evolution.

I wouldn't need tanks or weapons since each guyver has enough power to decimate a 50 story scyscraper with one blow.

Also I got the idea to let it stay in the microscopic range. I can let it evolve into a virus that is undetectable and let it attach to other species. Then when they visit other planets and etc I give them all the command and the whole galaxy dies with one click.

Well the GDC at san jose has ended yesterday, Will wright had a speech there, so i guess there will be another podcast about spore from gaming steve and a GDC video so we can see Will Wright talk about what he's going to do. And with the coming of E3 we can expect a few more previews, and hopefully gameplay movies. :wink:

hm? And I have been following spore for quite awhile. I think multiplayer would hurt this game more then help it, because once someone gets the planet buster they go and blow up your planet. Game over, you lose. No fun. Just make it single, so I can blow up planets :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

All they would need is a protection period, say 1 or 2 weeks, where you build up your race until you are ready. They could also have a 2ndary protection where the other people can only send units to your planet/city that you could handle.
