Default Who has played PlanetSide here?

I thought I'd make a poll to see who's play PlanetSide the only other MMOFPS and reigning champion of MMOFPS's that Huxley has to face off here.

I'm not a fan of clans. I used to be co-leader of one in Everquest for PS2.
To much responsibility plus some clans wanted members to pay up to stay in.
Like in City of Villians most clans ask for donations to help build or upgrade a secret lair. That's not so bad because it benefits you aswell.

If I were you Guyver, I'd stay away from clans too. You've had some bad experiences it sounds. Fortunately they are not all like that. Phew! thank heavens for the Enforcers 8)

Well, Yeah...I'm not really all that crazy about having ranks and planned "Ale Drinking Sessions" either.

I'm just a "Good 'Ole Boy" that likes to get on and play some video games with other "Good "Ole Boys" really. In other words I just like getting on voice and chatting with my buds while we play some games.

I like grouping and doing orginanized things togather so long as it don't take over 15 or 20 people to do. I don't really care to much for Large "Raids" they are boring.

I am in the military and I go around all day long taking orders from officers and higher ranking enlisted. When I get on a video game I don't want anyone telling me how to "Play My Class" or how "I should Spec" and this that and the other. I just want to relax and play some games. And I won't expect none of the such from anyone else. Now, if someone has some tips or tricks they want to share with me...cool. But, these online games where you have all this structure and raids, and such is a little to much for me..see, cause I already get to experince all that type of stuff In Real Life...being in the Military.

I don't mind more people in our community, but one must know we are not going to be the "Top" community with 500+ people in it. And we are certianly not going to require people to do things like "Pay to be in the commuinty" or "Give in game stuff to the guild" or nothing like that.

Only thing Easy Company really requires of a player is to not beg, borrow, and/or whine all the time. And don't get on voice doing none of the such either. We are just a group of gamers that like to have a good time. Not "Get-Off" on how BIG our community is are how "Bad Ass" we are.

Don't get me wrong I not putting down those communities that are like 5000+ players that span across 100 online games Or even the smaller ones than that. If you like to have structure in a game or community where you can say that you are the "Chief Military Advisor" for one of the "Battle Groups" thats cool! Go for it! But we aren't that High Speed here at Easy Company. We might give you a tittle like "Mr. AFK" if you prove yourself to go afk all the time just randomly though.

Hence the name,
Easy Company

I hear ya, Copenhagen. I spent a few years in the Infantry in the US Army. which branch you in?

Most of the stuff the Enforcers do is fairly laid back. Occasionally we get into either "outfit night" activities and on rare occasions the mega raid thing--which typically fail. We had one excellent operation about two years ago (8 APR 04) involving 14 full Galaxies and 30 mossies and reavers. That was a very decent op. 60 guys hot dropping on Ghannon was cool.

Sounds like the Enforcers.

those titles serve only one purpose, Expand an already oversized Ego. Using any title above Captain or Major does that too, because most clans can't field more than a Platoon or two. A few can put a full company on the ground.

/agree
Are you guys going Sapien or Alternative?
Appears we are heading Sapien right now. but we have several months to decide.

I'm the lonesome fckr that voted for "What is PS?". Eventhough I know what it is I haven't played it. I actually haven't seen it either unless you count one single screenshot.

I played Planetside from beta till BFR's I have a Fodderside account when I want to go get on with our TRG division, but beyond that I don't think I would pay for it again.

SoE just doesn't listen to the people in the game and they don't know the meaning of balance. One side is ussually gimped at one time or another.

My ending char was BR21 CR5

Myself and my Clan are awaiting Huxley I am really hoping it will be a great game, at least SoE isn't making it.

played it a bit a year ago, and been on a reserves account for a few weeks now

the game is hardley like I remember since I played before BFR's

half the former community is missing

SOE messed it up like usual

I fear this former SOE executive hired for Huxley now...
