Default Bioshock

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time... It's coming out in 12 days! Anybody else here want this game? I have the CE preordered at EB... These last two weeks are going to drag by so slowly...

I have to say that Bioshock looks amazing, the only disappointment is that it is only a single player game and I love getting involved and socializing with other gamers while I play.

Thinking about it though, it may be one single player game I do buy these days with it looking so good.

It got 10/10 in the "Official UK Xbox Magazine" so that is promising.

I was REALLY looking forward to this game! Until I found out... this really doesn't deserve to be considered an MMO of any kind. It isn't real-time live action on a huge scale like Planetside! It's some stupid mission-based thing where you participate in "rounds" or whatever. That's like BF2! I want a real MMO fps, not an online FPS that calls themselves an MMO. If you like that kind of thing sure, go for this game, but why not just get Enemy Territory: Quake Wars instead? It's basically the same thing, only it will be SO much better." << This is a quote from ebgames "whats the buzz" section. is this true my fellow Huxley lovers? if so I am not getting this game

Are you even talking about Bioshock ? It doesn't have any multiplayer...I don't see how anyone would, or could consider it a mmo.

Anyway, I really am looking forward to this game, even though it is singleplayer, I feel it will be well done, maybe not quite a sandbox like oblivion, but never the less, a good game.
I just hope my pc is up to the task

Hmm... downloaded and played the demo a few days ago; at best it was meh... Visually stunning, beautiful music and the story is interesting, but It's really difficult to feel immersed in the game; especially considering the game is single-player only.

Personally, I believe that Mass Effect will be a much better game.

I've been relatively inactive on these boards recently, I've had Bioshock since it's release, and a piece of advice for those on the fence about it: GET IT. Great game, loved every moment, Fort Frolic is the greatest level ever. Period.

While we're reviving this topic;

System Shock 2 was better in every way except art design (SS2 was for the most part fairly generic in that sense), but then again very few games touch SS2 as far as I'm concerned, so that's not to say Bioshock isn't good. The last level and the ending both disappointed me greatly though (had so much potential...).

I will say this: the game didn't really get interesting until around I guess the 30-40% mark, because in the beginning you honestly don't even know WHY you're running around doing all this crap, you just sort of do it because there's nothing else to do... but definitely pick up and listen to all the audio journals, it makes things much more interesting.

Let's face it, it's better than 99% of the other crap this industry has churned out lately
