Sig maker at work

Hey lex here is what i did with the sig.



The only thing i cant seem to do is get the eyes to glow red at the end. I changed all of the fonts too to the Morpheus font except for the background of The Reapers. If you could just hook me up with an animation that does pretty much what i did but the eyes glow at the end that would be killer. I am a photoshop noob, LOL. I also changed the outer glow on the name, division, and rank on the one i am still working one. It will look better once i am finished.

Heres some tips:


Slow down the animation, use more frames for a smoother transition. Twee the last frame with the first so it loops instead of skips. Add a 2-3 second delay on the first frame, its kinda much to have it constantly move.

Use the same font on both "The Reapers" layers, its hard to read right now.

If you want it too look like the reaper is coming closer, drag the top layer out to a sep. pic and increase the size with 10pxls. Drag it back to the sig exactly over the first reaper layer. Do the opacity thing in Imageready as explained below with the glowy eyes prblem.


Always good to learn techniques in PS, try it yourself first. Heres how to do it:

To make the eyes glow, make a new layer and within that layer paint a red dot over the eyes of the character. Go to properties of that layer and add an outer glow. Now, pull down opacity to 0% of that layer. Go to Imageready and duplicate the first frame. In the second frame pull up the opacity to 100%. Tween the first frame with the second with about 10-15 frames. Tween the last frame with the first. It should now look like the eyes starts to glow.

The sig you had made for me rockzored my sockzors :P On looking thru this thread, I'll say it again, you've got great skills with Photoshop. I wouldn't be surprised if you made that transition into GD anytime real soon, considering your polished work.

I've never made sigs before..where do you learn? or is it just photoshop? and to make good ones do you have to be an artist? cuz im teh suck even with stickmen.


Also..how do you get those images? just google different images and make your own colors?

Photshopped, you teach yourself overtime and get critiqued on your work so you can improve in the future.

No, you don't have to be an artist, you just need to understand your PS program well (and I suck with stickmen too, your not alone)

For me, I google and edit, which goes with the above.

Wow lex your amazing! Could you make me a siggy possibly? Heres an example of what i could look like.

If possible can i have animation in it? like typewriter lazermatt flash and then retyping again or something. I'm into team tactics so perhaps sometihng similar to my current one? The picture i meen.. I'm not too sure. And My clan is called Brotherhood Of Conquest. I'm sure whatever you do will be amazing so just take my basic example and do your thing :D I'm not too fussy color wise as long as its not pink or whatever :P

Kinda funny, everyone thinks my Shinigami sig is the greatest one. Was fairly simple, I guess some sigs just makes themselfs almost. Sorry not to be able to accomodate for more sigs around here, yall understand I hope.
