No, read my post.

You DO NOT need Xbox Live Gold to play MMO's on the 360, like Huxley and FFXI. This is because they run through a different online service (Play Online for FFXI). So he can save his $50 a year from gold and apply it towards his Huxley payments if he wishes.

^ Is absolutely correct.
I didn't have gold a few months ago, but I was still playing FFXI online.
Last I heard, Huxley won't be released until autumn 2007 =(
Which means I, possibly, won't be able to play it due to joining the army

That is some major ass gay shit. IF I have to pay 15 dollars, on top of my internet bill and on top of my Xbox 360 bill then they are fucked up. If this is true they are definitly gona lose buyers. Not only will FPS be driven away from the fee Xbox 360 users will be too, for having to pay extra then everyone else.

Your gona say you dont need Xbox live to play Huxley, no shit. But what Xbox 360 user that plays online doesnt have Xbox live. The probability of someone not having xbox live that still play huxley are very very slim. Oh excuse my last posts, I didnt know what you all were talkin about.

Seriosly Seejay, all your posts have been whining about having to pay. You almost certainly WILL have to. Get over it and if you dont like the idea of p2p for a massive persistent world that will be constantly updated and developed as time goes on, then dont. You dont have to complain about fees in every thread though. We arent the ones setting the payment plans, we just want to play the thing.

I know, still hate the idea. I have the money, and if this game does come out as like top rated video game then I will buy it and pay the fees but I just dont see how thats gona attract their main audience of the FPS community.

The #1 reason Huxley is going to attract the FPS community?

There's shit for games out there right now.

Plain and simple Huxley is a good shooter, whether it's an MMO or not doesn't always sell or break it in the minds of others. $15 a month is shit for the amount of entertainment that you derive from a good game. There's a market full of people anxiously awaiting Huxley's beta and release.

Who the fuck cares if you have to pay. Its worth it and you get something out of it rather then buy a normal FPS and play the same 10 lvls wit hthe same 10 weapons over and over.

You know there is always the possibility that they will fuck the game system up and this will be one major failure. I mean everyone was all excited for Planetside, but yet it had to many problems and gameplay just wasnt as good that it just wasnt big. I dont think huxley will have that problem, just sayin dont rule that out.

You know, blaming Huxley for being too expensive because you have to pay for Xbox live makes no sense.

I plan to do both, suck it up.

If you don't want to pay for both, play a different shooter....like when Gears of War comes out.

Unreal tournament engines have always been proven to be good FPS gameplay.

Webzen has already released MMOs with their network technology, so we know that works as well.

Combine good fps with low lag and lots of enemies, I don't know how it can go wrong. Well I do, but they would have to be idiots to make it so, and with RPGs under their belt, balancing shouldn't be a problem for them.

I would have to completely disagree with you there. If xbox 360 users were charged to play it, they would be paying for:

Their internet connection
Xbox LIVE
Huxley

whereas PC users don't have to pay for xbox live and therefore have to pay less :P

The majority of shops are saying it comes out next month on the 360, anyone know why? Or is there a chance?...

Seriously, read my other posts.

YOU DO NOT need to have Xbox live to play Huxley!

So that leaves the final tally to:

PC Users:

Huxley Monthly Fee
Internet Fee

Xbox 360 Users:

Huxley Monthly Fee
Internet Fee

So it is completely fair.

ffs webzens enitre markets the asian industry, im a hugh mmo fan so i delt with their servers before, like when playing MU and MapleStory (Both MMORPGS develpoed in korea then brought to the americas) Their servers arent that great i remeber a few crashes too =p. plus in their previos MMO games they never charged any sort of fee, so will this be the first time webzen is charging monthy to play one of their games?

Plus to all 360 users out there you dont have to pay for Live, there is live silver and live gold, my friend is playing halo 2 on his X360 usin xbox live silver wich is completly free, the only benifit from having gold is that u can participate in tournuments to win $$$. So you can buy huxley, cancel your gold subscriptions and still be able to play huxley online with your friends even if your friends are using Gold and you are not.

Duh!

Live silver enables you to download, you can't play ANY games unless you have gold...

Oh, and Silenoz is right about not having to pay live subsription fees when playing MMO's on the 360.

Since games like Huxley and FF11 are going to be Uber Online they will have there own servers and you dont need to connect to Xbox live, silver or gold, to use
