well the prob is, controller vs. keyboard and mouse. Keyboard and mouse will easily dominate a controller. Nothing against consoles but the mous just is way more sensitive. If they do make battles cross platform, the 360ers will be the underdogs.

Techincally you are able to interact cross platform. Currently the developers have decided not to let each platform fight against each other because like SniperKey said, they cannot be balanced. At E3 they had a demo where they showed a PC and xbox player on the same screen moving together, but since then they released info that it wouldn't be happening.

I think that's the best for all... being able to interact together and trade together that's good and i think that's fair x360 users don't fight agasinst pc players.. the game will be much easier for pc gamers i think.

For PvP I can see them not interacting, but what about PvE?
If you're just fighting AI opponents is the accuracy difference going to matter? Or do you think the guys at Huxley might change the AI or health of the computer opponents based on what system you are playing on? Personally I think it would be fun for pcs and xbox360s to play cooperatively |

Heh, I was thinking the same thing after I posted
For a game that is supposed to be like UT2k4 in terms of gameplay speed, it seems like using a controller would be kinda rough. I'm assuming that there will be a small amount of auto-aim like what was done in halo2. That being said, if I had a 360 and no computer, I would surely buy it anyways |

Give the unreal tournament they made for console a shot, then turn around and try the PC one. The console game is so shitty because of the controller limitation.

I play UT2k4 all the time.
I remember renting the 2k3 xbox version a long time ago, but as it was my first time playing UT, I didn't realise the controller limitations. If I played the console version now, I'd probably give up in frustration I hope the guys at Huxley can get around this problem somehow for the 360 players |

Epic figured that out, and that's one of the reasons why Unreal Championship 2 ended up being console-only... they realized there's certain things (melee combat for instance) that typically work better with a handheld controller, while things like sniping need to be tweaked. I think it's pretty much become an assumption that it's difficult or impossible to make a really fast-paced shooter the exact same for both platforms without having 1 side or the other short-changed. I never played Pariah on console, but the PC version was annoying because it kept the kinds of things that console fps games use (aim assistance for one) to balance gameplay.
Hell even ut2007 is going to be tweaked for each platform differently depending on the limitations/advantages of the controllers, despite the fact that it's going to be the same game for the most part. |

Well all theyd have to do to make it work is to give the 360 players and edge in another area to even it out. Give the 360 players big shooty guns. The pc players have to aim, the 360 players get to point. For every rifle a pc player has, let the 360 players have a big ol gatling gun.

But you arent limiting thier experiences, it was my impression that there would be two factions available to PC players and one available to 360 players. In every mmo the different factions or races have somthing that defines them and make them unique. The hybrid race could be unique because of quicker access to area of effect weaponry that the other factions have. Each pc faction should have something unique about it too. What itll be I'm not sure. But it could work. |

I hate how your puting console players down:(. We can be just as good, smart, and tactical as PC players. I am going to be playing this game on the Xbox360. I do say though the PC players do have an advantage because they have better aim then the console players do. But it really just matters of what you like best.

dont take anything we say personally when we talk about the 360, its just a fact that pc has a much bigger advantage than xbox.
