Thank you for your informed and constructive input, I think, for me at least, you have won the case for gamepads. I shall go and buy one for my pc now so that I can aspire to achieve that level of control wich is unreachable with keyboard and mouse.

Ive played fps's on console for to long to remember and I dont think that mouse and keypad could beat out controller. Download a halo 2 montage and tell me if you think the controller is hindering their ability to aim and shoot.

In the retail version of the game they are going to have ISP battle arenas, where the battle is more like 2v2 or 4v4 just for fun. It will have no effect on your stats, it's like a practice arena.

With that said, I hereby state that any XBox 360 user that is willing to do so, challenge me in an ISP battle, 1v1, and walk your walk.

Until then, the facts remain - KB/M > C
Exactly. This discussion is SOOOOO old. A peg on a spring can never beat an equally skilled player on a mouse.

according to this the 360 is now getting full USB keyboard support. Only need the mouse now and we have an even contest

lol mouse sensativity = how fast you move your hand. there is a limit on how fast a gamepad can move cause the joystick has limitied mobility. you can see the difference because if you play unreal2k4 for pc then try playing unreal for xbox Pc is so much easier. a 180 on kbm takes half a second while gamepad will take 1 second. thats life or death

Sorry but watch the cpl pc FPS game tournaments then tell me that that can be done with a game controller.. not a chance in hell that it can, the controller motion speed is set and you can vary it very litt,e not to mention that because its a small control stick, instead of an object being moved across a large pad you have less scope for customisation, a mouse can both be very delicate and very fast, a controller cant be both.

Mouse vs. Controller isnt the best idea and i wouldnt be supprised if they made XBOX 360 only servers and PC only servers.

For controller to work in any FPS it needs auto-aim to track the target where as mouse is just deadly accurate. These two things dont mix too well and 1 will normally be better than the other (it'll be mouse too .)

Good job if the balance it but i havnt seen that many FPS that have done a good job of it yet.

This topic isn't just old but its actually been proven multiple times that controllers can't compete. There have been I think 2 or 3 PC Gamer articles as well as various other websites that did multiple tests with the help of a few pro gamers on both styles, as well as with casual gamers.

In both cases the mouse and keyboard folks won hands down. Some of the matches with the pro gamers vs eachother where close.. but mouse and keyboard still won.

And like one of the above said.. if they handycap my mouse just so people with consoles can stand a chance this game will flop on the PC.

But how many Xbox360 players would be willing to invest in: Xbox Live, Keyboard, Mouse, and a monthly fee, just to play Huxley? I'm not quite sure.

I'd also heard that they weren't going to allow keyboard/mice to be used for gameplay on the X360.

Where did you hear this? From I've been able to tell on reviews and articles they've been pushing trying to see how the 360 and it's players would stand up using those.

I agree completely with winged, Joystick (especialy in Air) beats out the controller any day.

I think he was talking about the joysticks on a controller beating out a mouse and keyboard for flight. I do have to say using an actual joystick is much more fun for piloting aircraft than a mouse, but for ground pounders I still prefer a mouse.

This might be a little off-topic and possible already covered, but i haven't heard anything about patches for the game. If it is on Xbox and will be 100% online then as with all online games content will change and patches will be made to fix bugs (and introduce new ones). The problem being, do the Xbox games get loaded onto their memory and patched from there ? i can see this being a bit of a hurdle trying to have cross-platform servers.

But as i said, the topic has probably been covered 1000 times before and i'm just flogging a dead horse here..... if so please disregard. gg.

It will have to use the HDD for the core game engine, there is at least one MMOG already on xbox 360, I know some people on here have played FFXI on it, that must have a way of handling it.

Im guessing Huxley will occupy a fair portion of that 20gb HDD though.

I know if we Xbox fans be forced to fight against PC players I'll most likely not play because (as a pc and console player i know) Keyboard & Mouse beats C'Pad anyday. The Mouse can always be set to respond faster than i C'Pad.

As long as there is Xbox only Servers i'll be a happy man. Either that or i could join the pc gamers and own all the xbox fans lol

I swear X360 in a computer in its self, so it wouldent be that hard to 'combine' the two, control wise, (im360) the mouse would pretty much waste the pad, although most computer users r only 'very good' at fps after years of playin it, it only takes a few months to get out the noob standard in 360 fps. But overall, some guys i see on counter strike r amazing, and im like, how the f***, but there r guys on halo2 where ur like wtf.

Average Pad user VS Crappy Mouse user, pad comes up on top
Good pad user VS average mouse, pads would win, it all comes down to HOW GOOD YOU ARE!!!
