Explanation Of Fee For 360

This post if for people who are going to get the game on 360 and are upset at the fact that they have to pay for xbox live gold and a monthly fee for huxley.

You pay 50 dollars a year for gold, this entitles you to anything that is from microsoft and on the xbox live service. Including the marketplace, matchmaking in online games. Now you can also not pay 50 dollars a year and have a silver account, which basically only allows you to download content from the marketplace for your games. So far all of the mmos on the 360 have been playable with a silver account, and im guessing huxley will be no different. So that is why you pay the fee, because you can play on a silver account, and paying for gold is not required. Now if your saying that just the silver memers should have to pay the fee you also are wrong. You gold memeber have to pay the fee as well because you are in a sense leaving xbox live and microsofts domain when you play huxley online. Instead of playing on xbox live you are playing on webzens servers, which they pay to upkeep and update. This is the reason you are paying the fee, in a sense you are paying for a whole other service, which allows you to play huxley online. If this game was PC only you wouldnt be complaing about another fee to play anlong with your 50 dollar xbox live gold, because there different, seperate, not the same. You would pay the fee for the game and you xbox live fee and wouldnt even relate the two since there not on the same system. so think of it that way when your out there fragging with your friends on launch day.

no! i HAVE A THEORY... And here it goes they said it was coming out in 06 right but never happen then again at 07 again never happen.. What i'm thinking is that maybe their working out on the server so they don't have to keep checking on it all the time... So who knows maybe their trying to make the server prefect so there won't be a fee for both 360 and pc!!!

Hopefully i'm right but who those if there's going to be a fee or not!!!!
To be honest i'll give my theory A 3 out of 10 of being right but i hope im right....

Personally I hope they charge. Games with monthly payments bring different types of players than ones that are free, and personally I like the gamers that pay more. They tend to be more mature and understand the value of money more (when they aren't 14 year old kids whose dads pay but I used to be that... a decade ago)

I see this all the time in Phantasy Star Universe, the people who pay to play the game are a lot different than the people who are on the 360 demo of the game. Few people will pay to go into a lobby and spam "Free nud3 p1cs of @zz".

YO its been like a year since i posted on this site ,, i took a break casue i was just waiting and waiting and waiting for this game to come out ,

Another MMO by webzen called APB is coming out ( online gta )

Now if these are both published by webzen i think best way would be that you subscribe to webzen for a monthly charge and for that charge you can play any webzen mmo,, casue altho i dont mind paying a monthly free, xbox live + huxley + Apb , it will start to add up

ill be pissed if i have to pay another fee just to play on the 360, i payed for my live account so why should i have to pay again when i could just play halo3 or another FPS online, thats just bad marketing, i understand that it has to do with the servers upkeep and updates but to charge a group of gamers an additional monthly amount is on top of a Live free might make many 360 gamers think twice about even looking at huxley

They also mentioned certain in-game content can only be accessed via 360 or pc. so to completely conquer the game content, your going to have to buy the pc version and the 360 version.... doubt they'll charge a monthly fee for 360 AND pc.. otherwise....what's the point?

The games aren't the same, you'd definetly need two seperate accounts, since the content in the games beyond certain shared battlegrounds are completely different. The 360 version is set 50 years later, so a character on the PC version would likely never be played on the 360, and vice versa. Granted, you might only have to purchase a single account and have both 360 and PC characters on it, but that's unfair for payment plans. The 360 players would be paying more than PC when taking the relatively tiny payments required to play an xbox online. It'd also probably be a bit confusing on character selection. I imagine a lot of people who don't want to play on two accounts are going to have to decide which version they want.

2. - i thought someone translated a article from a korean site saying huxley will prolly be microtransaction. Meaning u pay for the game, an u pay for cool gear.

But the companies that own every other game for the 360, besides the MMO's, know that they couldn't get away with charging money and no one would play it.

1.I totally agree there. I've played TONS of those free MMO's and they're all the same. FREE TO PLAY (but you'll have to pay to get awesome stuff).

2.I hope not. I don't have any problem paying a monthly fee, but if someone is going to have better equipment than me just because they have money...now that's just not right. I'll pay a monthly fee, I'm not going to pay for my equipment.

there is one MMO call Phantasy star universe. I play it costs $10 a month to play. but also you dont need a gold account to play it. so maybe the same way with huxley. I'd advise never play the demo of PSU it sucks compared to the real game. actually never play it to many 8 year old kids running around complaining of how sega isnt doing a good job. woops now Im ranting.

Ever played Combat arms? its a decent fps, it lacks any rpg elements the huxley is SUPPOSED to have but if you dont feel like paying its a decent game (you can pay but all you get is special weapons that look different, they are just as good as their free counterparts) (btw sorry for going totally off topic)
