I know this has most likely been discussed in the past but maybe not. Raiding a key asset in any (MMO) for new gear and items to enhance you char and make a more in-depth and intense experience. Like wow raiding is what you work to which make sense but it also ruins the game making it boring and unfair and less fun. Raiding in huxley will most definitely be the opposite because you shooting you don't need to wait and you can conjure up a plan then and there for future attempts. Because squads can go up to a full unit of around 100 soldiers I don't see how they can create a instance other than straight up pvp instance's that have you fighting the 100v100 battles as a raid that could make sense. Also there is the whole boss battle how will that work with a bunch of guys jumping around lol shooting at the same target with most likely decent accuracy and then getting the loots and leaving WTF! how would looting work also. They could have a Huge boss though ones like the guy in the CG trailer with one with gats on his one clawed hands. IDK! post I want to get your ideas.

Hard to discuss such things since we know so little abotu the game, but yeah it was discussed few times. The looting was brought up few times too since it's weird if naked hybrid drops super awesome weapon and how do you pick it up. Plus in the huge raids, i mean nobody can heal nobody since we have heard nothing about healing, if no healing that means no resurrection, so if there are huge battles and everybody gets killed, will they spawn somewhere or how will it work?
There are FPS games with big bosses online, for example Seriously Serious Sam is a good example, the solution to many people shooting is usualy huge amount of HP. Hope we will found out how all of this works one day >.< P.S: Shouldn't this be in general? Since both consoles are to have this....

yeah I'm actually really curious and excited to see how PvE will work in Huxley. I was drawn into the game completely for the PvP portion of the game (huge battles with big guns sound awesome to me lol). But more and more I'm getting interested by how the PvE will work.
As for how looting will work. I don't think anyone knows if there will even be huge PvE raids, but if there are they could do it in a few ways, i'll just explain some for the sake of making discussion: ok most of them were bad ideas so I'll try to make some that might work lol. discussion: 1. Basically exactly how WoW works. When you're grouped for a PvE instance and you kill a bunch of mobs each player takes turns having the right to loot the mob that everyone killed. So if you're in a 4 man squad and you killed 4 things together, then each person would be able to loot 1 mob. You would loot the mob by running up to it, aiming down at it and pressing a button (we'll say "L" for loot, but make it whatever you please). Once you press "L" a screen will pop up that contains the loot and you pick whatever you want from it. Bosses could also work by having a rolling system: boss dies, someone presses the loot button, a rolling thing comes up, you roll, whoever wins gets the item if they want it. 2. The mobs that get killed could automatically deposite their loot into your inventory right when they die (if you have enough room that is). This might be a bad idea because if it's a bunch of stuff you don't want then it would just fill up your inventory with clutter. 3. When a mob dies, whatever it carries could just fall onto the ground. The person who's turn it is to get the loot would be the only one who would be able to pick these items up by walking over to them, aiming down at them and pressing "L" 4. PvE loot could be basically taken out all together (after all what the hell do crazy hybrids carry that we could use?) The loot could be gained from missions only, maybe with an extra money bonus for how many hybrids you killed, and special missions for bosses so you can get a nice item if you manage to take out a boss.

I just thought of this what if one PvE raid style was a storyline PvE Raid like you really don't get anything but what your given as a reward for completing your quest and you would go out and meet with a TON of people lets say 50-100 and then fight a huge battle like in the CG trailer and you could maybe fight that queen with the really bad hair animation and she just sends mobs and you have tanks and transport ships and not just Sapien but Alts are fighting along side one another that would be amazing wouldn't it.

The loot rolling could get tricky.
In wow a window would pop up and you could click to roll. In Huxley since it's FPS i'm guessing they would have something along the lines of 1: Need 2: Greed 3: Pass But if your in the middle of combat gatting something up and you hit 1 to switch weps and roll need on an item, taking it from someone else, problems could arise. |

I would like to think that if people are working on the same mission/quest then they will each get what is offered for completing it so loot or gear or whatever is distributed equally. Who knows though, we can only wait and see (=

i think it should be like beet the vandel buster was (the manga)
the game records how many hybrids you kill or whatever and you go back to town and you see a npc and they give you rewards. the rewards would be other than the mission or quest rewards so you could train purely on just killing things. |
