I wonder what the difference can be? Like you see Gears of War, the graphs looks awsome. But still, will there be any mayor diff with the Xbox and Pc version or will they look the same?
Can it just be some minor details or will the Xbox version be like the Pc version but on like low performance? Anyone know? |

I think the only difference will depend on your PC's performance. Many people will likely have to settle for lesser graphics in order to run it on their PCs, whereas consoles have a universal set of requirements for their games.

I read that many peopel says you need a kinda super Pc for highest graph but if its same graph style on the 360 like Gears of War i will be happy to not have to buy the Pc version for better graphs.

He he graphs... moving on, I think PC will ultimately have better graphics. Like a Mac, you cannot upgrade a console. With a PC you can upgrade until you find out you have run out of money. And graphics aren't the only important side of a game. If I had a game with really nice graphics but bad controls or no playability I wouldn't play it at all. Though it is true that the company only has to make a initial sell with a game and not care about what happens afterward.

If you look at other mmos over time their graphics get allittle bit better, but from what i have seen with gears I dont think that i can afford to buy a really nice computer to play that quality of graphics. Also i dont think that they would make the game hard to play on the 360 or have bad controlls and if that does happen then i will grin and bare it, then cry myself to sleep....

yeah there is no way a 360 could compete with a PC. especially controls wise. A handheld controller will never compare to a mouse and keyboard, they just dont respond as fast.

Some where you can find the specs for the 360 I think it's something like 3 7 series GPU's working in tandem or something like that. Along with the core processor. Which will give you the performance of an 8800 no problem but putting to 8800's in SLi would totally dominate a 360. And seeing as computers are constantly evolving it's easy to say that PC's are better than a 360 because they offer the upgrades.
<tangent> It wouldn't surprise me if the next generation of consoles are upgradeable, to an extent. You could simply pop and swap a fully enclosed GFx card when the time came for such an upgrade. Simpler machines for gaming and entertainment are definately on the way. They would be as simple as changing the batteries in your remote. They would also be pretty standardized. |

Wow, I do belive this is a 360 forum. None of you PC flamers have a 360 and yet your flaming 360's in a 360 forum...retarded. If you have an absolutely amazing PC then yes, you will probably have slightly better graphics. But 360's are MADE with good graphics. I would rather spend $400 on a 360 than $1500 a PC for slightly better graphics any day. 360>PC

You don't have to spend, $1500 to make a great computer that is better than a 360. The one thing computers have over consoles is functionality and unreadability. With a 360 you can not upgrade or do a total rehaul or have a choice on what software you are running. I have several friends who own 360s, and say they like PCs better, they just can't get some games on PC that are on the 360.

Yeah but they come out with new consoles that are better. Like the 360 Elite. In any case, people with PC's try to loom better graphics and a supposely better control sytem over 360 owner's heads and say "HAHA im better than you". Honestly I fail to see a BIG difference in which way you play the game, or which way you SHOULD play the game. As long as your playing it, whos gives a s.hit?

Alright guys heres how it is.
A PC is nice and all, but if they want to make money, they have to make graphics that can be handled by an average computer because not everyone has a top of the line computer. Take WoW for instance. It's cartoony graphics allowed for those that have a not-so-good computer to run it decently, and those that have a top of the line computer to run it very nicely. But, had the game had outstanding, unbelievable graphics, then Blizzard would have lost the $15.00 a month because those that can't run the game wouldn't play. Now with a 360, the graphics are set and you can't change them, meaning there is no one 360 player that will be angered by their console not being able to run it because the developers are making it so it CAN run on the 360 with very nice graphics. You also have to consider that with 100 on 100 battles, the graphics can't be godly because if they were, there wouldn't be a computer on the face of the earth to have say, 200 GoW players at once, excluding scenery even. Overall, my point is that they want money so what will they do? They'll set the standards at the 360 level. If your PC is worse than a 360, you're going to have to go into options and turn your graphics down to low. If your PC is better than a 360, tough luck, its going to look just like the 360. They aren't going to make better graphics for one and not for the other because that means they would have to make new models for the PC players, and that means more time, and time is money. For those that don't know, making an MMO costs a large sum of money, and by that I mean a large large sum. And for the record PC = 360, it is all based on how you like to play. If you like a super high sensitivity and lots of extra buttons, then hit it up on your PC. But if you like the feel of a good controller in your hand, then the 360's for you. So none of that stupid PC>360 or vice versa, and from my experience, I like them both equally, it's just more difficult to keep up with the development of PC's if you're in high school like myself. |
