/cry for the xbox 360?

I don't know if it's true but from what I've heard is that the people playing on the 360 will NOT be able to play as the two main races in the game. That we're confined to a unit called HLO or something like that. This can't be true, can it? Because I was really wanting to play as the alternate race, and I can't get the PC version considering I have a mac (sadly not the intel one either), and I know QQ macs, but if xbox's version is stuck with HLO, I don't think I'll be picking up my copy as fast as I thought I would be...

where did you hear this from? if anything I'd imagine the Xbox version might have something extra, maybe perhaps even play as Hybrids *shrugs* or maybe they might wait till an expansion or something to let players play as hybrids.

O_O Didn't see that my post had been moved.... I actually read it on other sites, and from posts below lol. Was hoping to get others opinions on the subject that weren't looking in the xbox 360 section of the forums, but oh well i guess... So does anyone here have any hard proof on it?

It is indeed a general rule that people look in the "general forums" the most heh. But forums admins as a general rule like to keep posts organized and in thier proper forums, e.g. PVP threads in the PVP forums, threads about classes in thier class forums. Although I do feel this thread could've fit in either huxley general or Xbox360 forums (being that it's possibly pertaining to something the PC version may -not- have, and thus affect the PC community as well possibly). But ultimately it is up to the administrator what belongs where, and the admins usually know best.

That seems like total crap. If they did that, their entire predicted Xbox 360 fanbase (Of which I am one) would shirivel up and die. They'd better not do it, and it seems like that'd be stupid to do. Y'know, an unwise marketing decision and all that.

So far the only differences that I have read about are that the 360 version will only feature 1 of the 3 in game cities and that it will have an offline mode to comp this. I could live with that seeing that you can go to the other cities when you are online playing with the people on the pc version of the game.

its obviously just a myth... of course we can play as either sapians or alternatives, thats like saying theres no covenant or flood in halo3, lol.

Now hang on people. I read the 1up interview very careful and heard mention of the MMO mode and that Xbox 360 players who did the SP campaign would be able to get more items to carry over to MMO mode. It almost sounds like they are doing something similar to Phantasy Star but better. Im not sure if that is exact but someone else posted the link and I lost it.

There is still hope for us 360 players not getting shafted.

Edit: Oh and the HLO sounds like Alternatives and Sapiens getting together to free hybrids or something as far as the scarce details go. Also looking back at some screenshots which looked like they were on an alpha 360 (poor shaders and lighting as well as lower res textures than seen on the PC screenshots before it) it looks very likely we get to still use the same races, classes, and skills. Just we get the bonus of HLO.

Again just commenting on what I read. It could be just poorly worded and I may be wrong.

Ok I highly doubt 360 users will get bonus things that PC players dont get because... Im betting their main fanbase will NOT be 360 players. Halo 3 is on the horizon and that where most FPS 360 players will probably be unless it is just horrible.

We have no idea of when this game will even come out. I talked to a guy that works at game stop and he said that you have to guess and he would guess 09 release. Nobody knows when it will come out except for those that are making it and they might just be on a when its ready its ready schedual

My take on the whole thing is that someone heard of 360 players playing as a different race and thought that they were confined to only that race. I think that since not everyone who owns a 360 has online, the game creators wanted them to buy Huxley so they put in a Campaign. Something extra. I don't think that the PC version has a Campaign since all of the PC's have online capabilities there is no need for a Campaign since everyone will be playing online. Online is the major part of the game anyway...

In other words, as far as online is concerned, both versions will play as both races...

The HLO has something to do with the Hybrids, I read it somewhere... WHAT THE HELL WAS IT??!! thimk........ It's Hybrid L______ O_______... L for legion?

man, there's just nowhere where people talk as much BS as on Xbox Live (including just spreading rubbish rumors)! 1% of what you hear is actually true, this case isn't. Im gonna take an example, for instans, some dude told me and some other guys that Ubisoft would zero everyones rank on Rainbow Six Las Vegas, but no, just BS. Think about it, is it really good for PR and marketing to limit one version THAT much? no. IMO you only heard someone spreading a rumor, I've learned one thing on Xbox Live, don't trust anyone, not even your mother. And I think that there isn't any real information about this game, especially about something this huge.
