First of all, I am new to the forums so sorry if this has already been addressed.
Dispite the four weapon pics that have been released, what do you know about customization of the weapons or what other weapons there will be in the game?

They have plenty of time to create and tinker with new weapons. And rarely do games like to tip their hand very long before the game is released.

More like they tell a a nice thing then they change it and then we dont like it and like the thing from before.

Id prefer semi-realistic slug weapons, FEAR style and I hope there wont be too much of the BFGs or electrical bouncy type weapons. Though since its Quake n UT inspired Ill prob have to swallow that anyway.

I think adding realisitc weapons to the game would add a certain believability to the game and also provide a connection to modern times. I think lasers and energy weapons would seem out of place.

Sniper rifle with 50 caliber depleted uranium rounds. And a 10x scope. 20 round clip semi auto function with safety of course. retractable stock and bipod. Heatvision and nigth vision added to the scope. And to top it all off....


Micro missle launcher that shoots homing needles filled with explosive acid.

You're talking about a game that has several humanoid, and mutated humanoid species. Along with weird alien looking things. And you're saying that laser and energy weapons would be out of place? That baffles me.

I want... NEOCRON-ly adjustable weapons! :D
but.. better!

I want to be able to receive a gun from a player, take it appart WHOLE, and stick different parts into it and upgrade it. Just as I described it.

"A mechanical trigger? sure they are sturdy, but only ignite the propellant with a 70 percent efficiency, those slugs could travel up to 20% faster if you install a laser activated ignitor. Sure I'll have to replace the ignition-chamber with a dubble insulated one with polymere reinforcement, and since they are ment to be used on type X weapons and yours is a type C weapon, I'll have to use a CX coupling bolt to make em fit. But don't you worry, the result will be a 40% range increase for a price lower than you'd have to pay if you'd switch to the 2.4 revision of your old weapon."

LoL. This reminds me of weapon slicing in Galaxies (but on a much more complicated level).

I know the game takes place in a different time, but the idea of lasers and ebergy guns just doesn't seem right to me, especially from what we've seen.

Well i thinke lasers would fit in quite well into the, or atleast of what we have seen this far.

But on a personal level im a fn of guns that fire large heavy stuff. Just like a WH40K Space Marine bolter, theres a gun for a real man(Boy/Girl/women/alien/whatever). Or just a stake gun from wereever you can find it. Thats cool weapon.
