Such a delicate subject in any FPS game. Could be too easy making it incredibly annoying in long range maps. I'm planning on sniping. Its simply what I do and I'm very interested in the stealth skills associated with the phantom class.
What I'm wondering is Will snipers be able to equip 4 weapons? As well as the damage of high end rifles. I'm hoping the keep one shot kills to the head only 2 on the torso and three on limbs. Weapons like the 50 cal in Rainbow six were absurd one shot kills anywhere on the body and really make it feel cheap and unbalanced. Also no semi autos a sniper should be one shot at a time simulating bolt action rifles. Your thoughts? |

umm helmets might make it 2 shots 2 the head to break the helmet and 1 more for the headshot and ther IS armor so try 3 to 4 shots torso unless the neck or sumthn is showing or yer screwed unless you a DU round

I just hope some camper doesn't find a spot on a building or in a room with a open window doesn't scope and shoot from miles away if there will be some real big open areas.

Well Im sure with the helmets and such it will atleast be 2 shot kills in the head and 3 to the body...unless like stated before where it is a possible throat/neck shot...and maybe even where shooting someone in the back with a rifle makes more damage than to the chest..for the sneaky/stealth factor.

I think the game should have no more than 3 hit areas on each character. I'd imagine there will only be 2 though. The game already looks like it should have good physics, I dont think a server can manage too many hit locations.

huxley is mainly city type battles and for the big open areas you know ther will be other snipers scopin u up and also tanks blowin u sniper sup not to mention gunship thatll also be mowin you down or people para dropping in on top of you

No skill in that, you're not pressured at all, and take your time to focus and it's too easy. I am a sniper who loves being infront of the action going for headshots while pressured to move around and not be hit but hit kill or be killed.

A sniper in my opinion should never be seen. I'll do as little to make myself visible as I possibly can. I want to instill fear in the other team getting picked off one by one and having no idea where its coming from.

Its certainly a challange to balance snipers in any FPS, i hope its 1 shot to the head for certain lesser armored classes and 2 for heavy armored, 3-4 everywhere else. If you get a headshot on a heavy armored class i would say it should take like 70-75% and a body shot anywhere else to finish them off.

well for me, i plan to a sniper that uses stealth and the building tactics(that will proly change over time based on what the situation is), as for the head shots, i would like to see more of a realistic approach, like the 'T' on the forehead, or the spot in the back of the head, these spots should be like extra critial, like 2.5 times more dmg or just instant kill.

According to some of the Gameplay Trailers out their, you can easily see one person walking around switching between 4 weapons, rocket launcher, shot gun, semi-auto gun(looked cool), and a sniper rifle. im sure you can carry more then 4.
