as much as i would love that, i would hate to see that in-game, if i go for a sniper class i expect to be sniper only, maybe a pistol, smg, or an AR, but cross blending classes like that is a lil more than i would like, but i dunno...heck...if the game would just release id be happy

Well if i am to be a sniper... Gimme sniper rifle with heatdetector - lots of claymores and some nice comuflage. Only thing remains find good camping spot and wipe ya all out ^^

i thing i hated in BF2 360 everytime i sniped some1 the person i killed there camera would turn to were i was and would have to move every time err i realy hope huxley doesnt have this feature unless its avenger for me
tho phantom is my second choice

Expect 1 hit kills on other phantoms, unless they spec'd heavier armor and wear a protection helmet. Phantoms are also the most mobile however, and unless they are sitting still (sniping) hitting them in the head on the first shot will probably be a rare occurrance. Most likely they will have some sort of damage from battle already anyhow, so it wont matter.
Beefier characters will lose a sizable amount of health from taking one in the head but wont die outright. The REAL question is, will we be able to determine visually who is and is not wearing headshot protection. Do people without it become targets? If we cant tell, do they become so popular that snipers dont even bother shooting a hitbox that is 5 times smaller. If you become a nuisance sniper on a futuristic battlefied containing dozens of players, you WILL be noticed. Best for you to keep changing position so you dont get blown away by rapid fire rockets and machine guns. |

Well not having "Headshot = killed" for snipers is weird cause look. The better defense you build up the better weapons they'll build up so you wont be godlike. Take for example tanks... When they came out people we sh1tin' on themselves when they saw one, but now few C4s or a bazooka and it's gone.
what my point is that if there even are helmet against headshots it's impossible to protect from the size of the bullet and the firepower of a sniper rifle. So 1 headshot = death (From sniper rifle). All though this might be good idea like having socket enchantments for helmets that increases your "resistance" to headshots from normal weapons.

I think the armour will be a factor....The slower you are, the more times they will get shot with a sniper
Secondly, there is the opposite, the less armour and opponent has a shot to the torso should kill in one shot Thirdly, the producers will even out the number of maps there will be sniping in, i think there will be maps that snipers will own in and others will they will get pwned in

Well then we should all just carry 100ft long rail guns that fire half ton metal slugs at our enemies and kill them in a single hit.
Also helmets have a hard time stopping ANY rifle bullet in present day combat, and those huge sniper rifles are just for shooting through armor/torso shots, since a 50 cal to the head is complete overkill. Its just that this kind of stuff is awful for gameplay, which is what matters. Edit: and "futuristic" is the ultimate plot device, especially in galaxies far far away. |

Well no game has the feature "1 shot in torso from sniper rifle = death" but if headshot then yes. Plus there are sniper rifles in real life that penetrates vehicles not speaking of helmets.

This would be interesting to see, a sniper rifle that can take out the driver/gunner/passanger of an APC or other armored vehicle ( assuming you know where they are sitting in it ) and then leaving it open to capture or hijacking with little dmg done from the bullet

I share your opinion here...camping 1 spot till some1 enters in your range for an easy kill is lame if you ask me, not mentioning that after the enemy receives first hit and survives, there are low chances to see his face again hehe BUT we all have different styles of playing so i wount mind if i die and dont know where that came from, beside its a great satisfaction hunting and killing a camper.

If somebody camps in one spot, kills me, there is no chance i wont spot him and if i will he is good as dead if he pissed me off or didnt get killed in that spot, camping on same spot in noobish, unless you dont get spoted cause if you do the person who spoted you will shot at you others will see that turn around and shoot at you too. Anyhow, in games like BF sniping in campish style is very boring and timewasting, what i do is:
Take my rifle, go in close range with enemies, shot them once with sniper rifle (one shot no matter where in the body takes down your health to 10% or below) and then simply finish them off with my pistol, simply tactics lots of adrenalin(cause i go very close range) and fun. Camping is boring and time wasting.
