Yeah, but Eclipsed, this game actually runs like UT if you've seen the vids which I'm sure you have. And sniping for head shots is slightly more difficult than other games because this game is heavily influenced by the idea of jumping while in a shoot out lol.... But I think us snipers will get used to it in time, if we aren't already.

still their are going to be players who forget that Sniper in battle + me not moving = me with no head attached and funny death secne. trust me people do forget about snipers in battle...atleast only for the moment and after that moment where their head goes and ruins the beautful ground they once where standing on

Helmet or not your head will go missing after you get shot in you head. their is always going to be a Sniper Rifle that over tops your helmet so no matter what your head goes bye bye.

K I was re-reading some stuff on Huxley and came across a review by gamespot.com
In that review (I guess it's technically a PREview). There is a section about sockets. Here it is: "The game will apparently have more than 100 skills at launch; these skills represent the kind of powerful advantages you'd expect to pick up as a bonus item in a competitive first-person shooter, such as the ability to sprint quickly, to cloak yourself by turning invisible, to double-jump, to tackle enemies with a melee attack, and some unusual skills, such as becoming IMMUNE to headshots (highly damaging, direct weapon hits to your character's noggin) and automatically detonating your corpse as a blinding flash grenade when you fall in battle." here's the link Huxley Updated Impressions - Combat, Skills, Characters, and Cities - PC News at GameSpot but yeah, it says "immune" to headshots. And I just remembered that nobody was sure if it was something that told you if a sniper was aiming at your head, so you could duck out of the way or something. or if it actually protected your head. And I feel pretty safe by saying the use of the word "immune" probably doesn't mean that they just give you a warning if someone is aiming at your head.

any head shot should kill unless the person had armour on ok if you have a little short range gun then only a close up head shot should kill but then again a sniper shot to the heart should kill too,
i think as long as you have shit loads of armour on you and bend any rule im just so sick of games where you have to put like 10 rounds into some terroist to kill him one or 2 off a good gun normaly will do the trick then when there on the floor you put 2 more in them to make sure. |

Enforcers of certain armor classes should be able to survive certain headshots of certain strenghts!
for instance, if i'm a max level enforcer with a thick helmet on charging into battle, even the most powerful sniper round shouldn't be able to dock me of all my health. beat the crap out of me, yes, but the beefiest enforcer shouldnt be able to die instantly |

A sniper's creed is 'one shot, one kill'. I think they should honor that creed. I'm no Huxley smart guy, ini fact i just found out about the game today. In my opinion a head shot should be a kill in one shot, but maybe the helmet design should be something where there is thicker armor in the back so the face is open to maybe a visor or somthing of the sort in which allows one shot kills as long as you can shoot him where there is no armor.

I beleive that higher power and higher recoil snipers should be one head shot one kill, thats what most snipers, well, are snipers for. In my opinion it would be a good idea to make more bolt action sniper types 1 head shot 1 kill, but semi-automatic rifles, maybe one to the head and another anywhere else?

This game is set in the future so anything goes really. You guys are going to have to live with the fact that if someone has headshot protection on, you won't be able to kill them in one hit. Though headshot protection might not be the best head slot ability so you don't even know how many people are going to be using it. Even if my Avenger could have head shot protection I'd rather have my HP Visor on.
