In a good game there would be balance and there would be no invincible snipers like your rhetoric is suggesting.

Me, i like Sniper Rifle's, SMG's, pistols and any kind of Melee weapon. As long as i can get a good mix of them in game i'll be happy.

I imagine that if the sniper rifle is more popular then the typical assualt rifles we're gonna have some problems in game with lengthes of battles... Also I don't see melee weapons becoming super useful... see as how you have to get upclose and personal... maybe if you jump out in a small city street or something...

I think they can balence that out by making sniper rounds expenciver, and making some senarios where snipers won't be as effective.

I've always been a lover of the ambush, so explosives and melee weapons are up there for me. (Melee weapons because it's hilarious when you kill somebody with one and everybody else finds out about it. Guns really don't have much of an advantage at a 1 foot range when their user has been surpised by a guy leaping out of the woods over his head swinging an axe or something.)

I just remembered. In the E3 trailer the altereaver was using shotguns right?

Well he had one in each hand. In order to fire a shotgun it needs to be cocked.

It never showed him cocking the shotguns. So my hypothesis is that there will be semi-auto shotguns much like the ones in 007 Golden Eye for N64.

Also I assume that the big yellow guns you see so much act as water cannons but with soemthing else. When I was a child they had these water guns that you pumped. In it it storred a huge ball of water. When the trigger was pulled it shot a ball of water that felt like a light punch. Ofcourse they dont make them anymore because of child safety laws.

So maybe the big yellow gun works like the water cannons from when I was a kid.
