Armor Customization

Well i know one thing for sure, those shoulders.. With ugly red colors and other stuff painted for sapiens to saperate the teams will not be Customizeable. I believe that the only thing that would be customizeable is the drawn lines on your equipment, i mean the look of it and not colors. There is going to be something like choose between A to Z examples. Not that you can really make it yourself. But that's only guessing lol :P

well if u realy think about it the armor and race will have base colors that u cannot change im tyhinking that the most u can customize wud be ur face, size(including build), an posibly small coloring on your armor kinda like cars details. but all in all having to toons of opposite factions looking exactly alike with all black or all white armor is not practical.

Its difficult to implement in a game with thousands users an full armour texture customisation, but a little square on your helmet or armour where to put an icon would be enough i guess.
I'd be pleased even if ill have the chance to choose a different grade or usage for my armour: polished, shiny, rusted something like this and a base colour.

Well for me it will be fine just with like in Need for speed, you simply choose different kinds and not costumize the whole item by yourself, cause for the first of all it will take too much of the playing time and for the second of all i just choose the cool looking one and stick with it, dont really care as long as it saperats me from the others, a bit.

idk about u guys but i wana look cool i dont want to have the sane armor as every1 else i wana look good wen i die and people dont walk over me because i just look to good and i gata look good wen i tbag people:D just my 2 cents

I dont mind having armor like someone else..Lets be serious...can u imagene all players with custom armors...we allready know that its ll be like in WoW...tiers... A screen where are group of sapiens is talking..u can see male and female with same armor but diferent looks for every genger....and i dont expect advanced customisation...its too much for Webzen..I think that we ll be able only to customize color...and tags on cloths..thats classes..Monkey king=Sapiens king....high rank..so customazing armor wont be a cool thing.../All this is my personal opinion..thing about tags ..sapiens and monkeys/

Um, I don't really get what your saying with the monkeys and stuff, monkeys don't wear armor.
But if anyone played SWG you could atleast get different colors of the same armor, but it wasn't really customizable since you actually just bought it as different colors...thats really enough for me.

well u probably wont be able to customize your armor but u probably be able to mabe add logos like u see monkey king,that would be a logo and u could customize it, and probably will be able to change the color of your armor

What your saying is that Huxley is gonna suck...details are what make the gaming world better and cooler to play in. I'm wondering exactly what else there is in games besides tons of various details. Without details it would be like playing pong or something. So what your saying doesn't make any sense. Thats like trying to make kool aid fast and not bothering with the sugar

Look..Webzen are low on cash..Spend big money on SuN..and SuN didnt have the start they wanted..So i think the game wont be perfect...but with the patches they ll fix it..Knowing that the game is delayd again i wondering if the result of waiting will pay of...Cheers all.

yes, but its not like they just decided to throw huxley together...when was huxley first announced? a year and a half ago? And they would've had to been working on it quite a bit before then, so really its an equation of Time x Money and since they have been working on it for so long I think it will balance out.

The game development started somewhere in 2005. So i don't see why they shouldn't realese it in late 2007, by then with their huge team they can be done, i believe so. Since they were about to release it in 2006 don't think that there are many things undone.

I seen a video where they were talking about the work they did on the armor and how well it looked, so I hope they ment it would be customizable. I don't want to be fighting like 20 of the same people. >_<

InsaneRussians correct, next to color changed on the armor and then cloths under it there isn't much customization at least not in the beta. when you go to change the appearance of armor you either changed the shirt under it to red or blue or black etc... to the armor its self which you can change two colors, I prefer black and white just, looks good. It does have mods you can put in your armor but thats not really custom armor now is it. Doesn't mean they wont have it we'll have to wait for the retail game.

If you can't completely customize the colors of your armor that's kind of a bummer but oh well.

I just hope there are plenty of different kinds of armor that I can kind of mix and match if I want to.

I could deal with everyone resembling the same colors but if I'm fighting a bunch of literal copies (as in everyone has the exact same looking armor) I'm going to be a little annoyed, seeing as even UT has a bunch of different characters you can play as so you never really see a horde of clones coming at you, and they don't even have any armor customization at all

well yes, you can mix armor. For example you can mix a diff helm with a diff chest piece so don't lose hope. But in the beta your basically just pvping so don't worry about your armor and there are alot of different types of armor between females and males and race big time between race. So GRIND don't worry.
