Weapons
After taking a look at the weapons I noticed the bulk of them, one shoots 600 rounds a second? Something like that must be pretty heavy. It this would of course allow you to move slower. So basically I'm just saying that the more gear, the slower you go. I would like to see some realistic feel to the weapons. Something that could actually be used in real life. You said that they were planning on having a number of weapons which I hope is true, more ways to kill your friends, allys, and enemys. The one weapon I realy want to see is, Flamethrowers! Tanks Tanks, not to many, but each with its strengths and weakness'. I would like to see tanks devided among Sapiens and Alternatives depending on the story line. Alternatives seem to have more hover dependent vehicles compared to Sapiens. Another thing we can't forget is air and water vehicles, something I hope they have. Armor In planetside, armor was sorted out by sets. I hope in this game they make the armor a bit selective. Another thing I'd like to see is different clothing under your armor to make you look more independent. Small Details Switching your weapon, or apply some type of bomb. When you do this you see your hand move in front of you. Also, having your guns lock up would be cool to. Maybe some over heat to mutch and the barrel melts. Abilitys Night Vision, Thermal Vision. Things in armor or weapons that give you special little uses. Flashlights and stutch. Abilitys per Side I was thinking perhaps maybe Sapiens get paratroopers with small jet packs and maybe alternatives can have gas weapons. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll think of some more ideas for later.

i think both sides should have paratroopers and gas wep, as for special stuff , sapiens have more vehicals then alt and alt use more lunerite power for their stuff. paratroopers would be cool with jet packs , but only to a degree , more like they use the jet packs to slow decent then to jump around.
Vehicals: i want to see motercycles Characters : duel equipable wep's Wep : flamethrowers, shotguns, good handguns, ect. Tanks : hard as hell to take one down with out anti-tank stuff Armor: Good armor that is realistic AND good looking. ( realistic in the sense of, if you have a sniper bullet go through you , there is a hole in your armor. get set on fire , your armor looks burnt, ect ect. ) |

I want customiseable assault rifles, with rail mounts on them so you can slot torchers, extra mags (fast reloading or extended magazines), laser sites, single shot grenade launchers etc. That would be a nice way of customising guns.
The most important thing for the guns in this game is their sound effects, the guns in planetside sounded rubbish, the guns need to sound really beefy and make your speakers shudder with every shot I'l have a think about the rest.

First off you have to remember the "give and take" of games. The more stuff you want the less smoother the game will run or you up the sys req. Bullet holes and burnt armor... really now, come on. Anywho, the customizable guns would be a neat idea. Also Id like to see customizable squad symbols. You make a squad and then get to customize the symbol on your armor. And not just a list or pre made things, Im talking really make your own. That or customizable color armor..

I think the 'clan symbols' are VERY likely... guildwars has customizable capes with a clan symbol so im gonna assume that Huxley will have a place on the armour for a clan symbol.
Oooh, i just had a though, paintable armour! so you can graffiti your armour all over, colour bits in :D, it would only be an over-layed texture so wouldn't take up any more bwidth really accepting possible joining/loading times cause it would have to have been transfered... |

Silenced weapons. Maybe a melee weapon (knife or somesuch). Explosives -- not just grenades, but remote mines, landmines, things like that (they have time-bomb bullets, I can't imagine that they wouldn't include the simple stuff as well).

yeah customizable weapons will be interesting as, you will never know what your enemy has. as for detail like bullet holes in armour, i think you are asking for bit too much there, maybe while fighting but after you leave the battle area and return to your home city they should go back to normal.

No a noob cannon is something with homing missles that can turn up to 120 degrees in flight then explodes into smaller missles that rip your arms off allowing the enemy to pick up your arms and beat you down with them.
Other than that. A flak cannon isn't bad.

Although I love playing as a sniper every now and then, PLEASE don't let snipers damage tanks! That was one part of Halo multiplayer that I hated. A good sniper took out everything. The weapons and vehicles in Huxley look really cool though.
The vehicles should be very tough to destroy as long as you have to pay for them. Either that or they should respawn somehow, like maybe at a junkyard at your home city where they can be restored for a price. |
