the game your describing sounds really lame. your 'child' anlogy sounds like WoW or any other rpg. so you want all the low levels to be target practice for people in vehicles. that is what im talking about when i said infantry should not be 'guys who havent gotten in vehicles yet'. webzen has specifically said that player skill will be more important than equipment and weapons. vehicles can serve a purpose in a game without being infantry mowing machines. if most infantry have to run and hide from the vehicles then i will be disappointed in this game.
BTW i dont really like your tone, i dont really know you but i have a strong suspicion your a d bag. i dont know how my opinion can be "Wrong." or what "any kind of war" has to do with a game. actual war is not fun at all and a game designed around what it is like would suck. you seem to be of the opinion that it would be fun to get in a tank and kill hundreds of infantry who just get to run from you. that doesnt sound fun to me or anything like what webzen has tried to sell this game as. having read this thread from beggining to end, most of the suggestions on here would ruin the game. most of the ideas are things like "artillery that can rain death on an enemy position from over the horizon" or "i should be able to repair my tank so that it doesnt get destroyed" or "the hover bikes should be able to straife infantry at 100 mph" dont you guys see that would be a big turd of a game? how much fun would it be to be an infantry man who just go carpet bombed? how much fun is it to have no alternative but to run and hide from the tank? it is obvious to all that infantry should not get one item that makes them invulnerable to most weapons in the game, dramatically increases their firepower, increases their speed, and cant be taken out because they can repair it. why do you guys think that this is a vehicle combat game? why should vehicles be able to kill everything, but most infantry can only kill other infantry? dont you see that will lead to a game where infantry are guys who havent gotten in a vehicle yet? vehicles should be for getting you or your squad somewhere fast or for bringing big guns to the fight. if they become the front line combat units, it will be a lame game. infantry should be on near equal footing against vehicles. 1 rocket to the back for a kill, 2 to the side, 3 to the front. that still leaves you plenty of time to 1 hit kill multipul infantry unless you get flanked. he only got defensive because vehicles have a bad reputation of being completely useless in fps games. by the same time that players begin obtaining licenses for vehicles, other players will be getting their anti-armor weaponry. so when someone gets his shiny new tank and begins pwning n00bies with his cannon, someone else is prepared to blow em to hell. but it wont be the phantom with his sniper rifle and it wont be the avenger with only an assault rifle. it will be the enforcer or avenger that decided to bring a bazooka just in case the opportunity to earn mad points presented itself in the form of a vehicle kill. and if i spent my hard eaned license points to be able to get a tank, that tank's big guns better not be water pistols. |

exactaly, infantry should not have to spec in anti-armor to be able to kill a tank. a tank doesnt have to spec in anti infantry to kill a guy. it should be 1 secondary weapon slot to pack 3 short range rockets. the vehicles should have to fear infantry just as much as infantry fear the vehicles, the tank should have to rely upon its firepower to protect itself. i just dont agree that being able to defend yourself against vehicles should be something that you unlock later in the game. some of the comments on here are like ' hope the infantry cant kill my tank, that would be lame'. im just trying to point out the game balance issues.

well if you think it says every ten levels you can get an upgrade for either your weaponary or a veichle liscence, so if say someone had decided to be a veichle guy and had upgraded about six times your gonna have a gunman who has upgraded his weapon capability six times and he is going to be an evan match for the tank hes facing. were a tank would be mowing down noobs it would be just like a high level person going on a noob killing spree. see what some people are failing to see is that every veichle has its match. Thank you!

It would be awsome to be able to put different equepment on a vehical. Stealthed minigun tank rolls up behind a squad of infantry *trooper do u hear something* minigun revs up *trooper oh*** minigun wipes out whole squad.

Have faith in the devs that they'll put the game together well. Giant B-52 type bomber that can lay waste to an entire city : Anti air guns set up on all major bases. Burrowing fangor beasts that are unleashed to wreak havoc : shoot heat seeking mines into the ground to take of those. Artillary that keeps constant pounding on a certain area : sneak past the enemy and blow it up, or send a plane in to blow it up. Everything can be killed by something, I'm not worried. |

I will definetely get the motor cycle, atleast for transportation inside cities, and then I will probably use a "combat" motor cycle for battlegrounds, I don't really like actually fighting with vehicles but I love traveling fast with them. Also a buggy would be cool like they have in BF2

lol, sniper and air support? Lol what you could do is go way up in the air and get someone to hover for you, and then like switch to where you are sniping out of a helecopter or something. that would be awesome :D
