Hybrid Liberation Organization

So far we really don't know anything about this group except that, based on their name, they sympathize with hybrids. What I'm wondering is will they include alternates and/or sapiens in their ranks? If so, does that mean that player characters can join and basically be allied with the hybrids?

I think this would be awsome as it would open up strategic alliance possibilities. Like you could, as a sapien at level 40 and high rank for example, decide to join the HLO and gain some hybrid abilities/weapons. The cost would maybe be that you forfeit some skills/weapons that would normally open as possiblities later on as a loyalist to the sapien race. Additionally, you may be forced to fight your own race at some point.

This would obviously complicate the balance of races and everything but would, in my opinion, make the game much more interesting. Webzen may be trying to keep the hybrids a mysterious force, the details of which are revealed through the story, but if players must reach a higher level before they can join, this won't be too much of an issue.

What do you guys think? Will this happen in some respect and should it?

I don't imagine it happening, I remember when people were toying with an idea like this in WoW, it just doesn't fit in with the game mechanics and Also the Webzen is gonna be trying to keep a balance like WoW did

where as alot of the stuff your saying i doubt will happen, i believe that one CAN join the group at a certian time and that as you grow in power in their ranks you may become a lesser form of the girl in the " lots of baddies " vid. granted i doubt you will be summoning up armys. also i think you will be able to change your char alittle to fit in with the HLO. example : http://media.pc.gamespy.com/media/73...g_3388828.html , note the wings on the person in the center holding the gun.

I beleive that is actually a hybrid of the alpha variety. I was thinking that the HLO might involve sapiens and alternates who sympathize with hybrids. It would kind of allow you to be able to play as the hybrid race without actually having the hybrids be a playable race.

I guess it would be a lot less complicated to make the hybrids a fully playable race, but this probably won't happen either as it would involve several more months of development and balancing time. We may still see alternate and sapien npcs in the HLO though, who fight on the hybrid side.

You see. Humans were created by aliens as weapons for war. Inside each human was a creature called a Zoanoid. The humans retaliated and fought against the aliens. Then the alien race created the guyver units as weapons to try and undo their mistake. These G-units were capable of mass power. Once a G-unit fuses with an organism, the organism is then capable of summoning Guyver. It is a powerful biological armor able of boosting a mans stregnth 20 fold and it is able to let the user heal quickly and even live after death by cell regrowth.Only 3 have been found and now 2 are left. The zoanoids that were left created a world wide corporation called Chronos. With it they plan to take over the world.It is my job as Guyver 1 to stop the zoanoids. For my friends...and the world.

I must protect the queen of the hybrids. As I am one with them. I am a Guyver!

I hope there is some kind of freelancer entity though you can just leave and not want anything to do with the war, maybe collect bounties from either side on certain people, regardless of their affiliation.

then you 'sell' them to the bounty vendor and they cross your name off the list until you have accomplished more and rose back up onto the list of bounties.

It would be interesting depending on how the "death system" works.
