PC gamers trying to explaining to some ignorant console players how things are gonna be in huxleys environment.
(btw, look up ignorant in the dictionary. i don't mean it as street slang- "stupid". i mean it as "one that does not know; lacking of knowledge".)

there are some things that purely console people don't understand. to them, FPS's started with goldeneye007 for N64. and you're revolution is halo. but while you are a tribe who is rubbing flint and tinder together, grunting in rejoice, the nation of WASD are in the industrial age.
huxley is your real revolution. you get to reside amung the modern. you say that is a box carrying people, we say it's a car. you're the one in the foreign land. it's consoles being brought to the PC world.

anywho-
about AI-

CTU24, you played every FPS on the hardest difficulty? lies.
-even perfect dark? all the challenges?
-all the cheats unlocked on goldeneye?(beating record times on each level). i clocked at less that one minute in facility.
-name the PC fps's.

AI see's us motion quarter circle + punch and raging demons through the fireball at perfect timing.
AI is looking through a scope that never leaves your head, even though you're behind 5 walls.
AI counters all of your grabs.
AI does not fear.
AI does not flinch.
AI has no mercy.

the only reason AI has ever been easy is because developers adjusted it that way. it's toned down so it will be fun and not impossible. btw, consoles are generally easier than anything on PC. the more ability you have, the higher difficulty the developers will push at you.

but i digress- i prefer PvP.
i like fear tactics. phsy-ops. freaking people out. stalking a player for 10 minutes as he looks specifically for me; chatting with him and taunting him. but what i really love, is being beaten by an exceptionally good player. i love running up that steep hill.

anyways. what did i even say this whole post? =P just rambling i guess.
What about if you're in a fight, do you like to push the enemy back? just fight? or try and make the enemy have a disadvantage by using smoke or something as a cover so you both go in blindly just relying on your instincts?

push the enemy back? i'm not sure i understand.

i like pretended i don't know who's shooting at me; where they are, etc.
i use my surroundings alot, hide from bullets, using cover randomly. whatever is nearby.
i like to pretend like i'm backing off or running away, but instead flank forward unexpectedly.
i like making someone unload thier ammo at me, but never hit me. then while they're reloading i'll walk towards them slowly, then disappear when they're loaded.

i dunno. typical stuff.
generally, i love when an enemy is on the offensive, trying to pursue me.

and while i'm not against camping, i don't camp.

nah. if i see someone, my motive is to make him dead. for him to survive is failure on my part. if i want distance between the enemy, i'll be the one moving.

and i gladly accept multiple targets.

but i think the scenerio you're projecting has to do with certain variables of a particular game that may not apply with others similar to it. as such, my tactics do mold.

If u want PVE go play WOW and see how boring that is i mean u want to be killing the same thing the same computer the same mind over and over and over and over ppl like that KNOW they cant defeat a real person even if there stupid so they do PVE but im saying with Huxley it is good to have both and not just PvE cause that would really really bite its like playing with a ball u know its gonna role back so u throw it against a wall and just like that comes back to u
Don't get me wrong here... I def agree that PvP is what Huxley should be. BUT! Coming from many mmo rpgs I have found that AI in PvE content is usually "limited" on purpose to keep it reasonably possible for the majority of players. AI could easily be programed to own the hell out of you. Certain encounters in many of the rpgs out there are as such but they all have designed flaws or ways of bypassing their apparent invincibility. This is to encourage the players, guilds, or clans to work closer together to come up with strategies.

AI is only as stupid as the intelligence that made it.

Anyways... new to the forums, excited as hell about Huxley. Cant f'ing wait.
