I think the humans and alternatives have different cities. Thus, I don't forsee combat in the city. I know the demo movie shows them both in close proximity, but I think that was for demo purposes only.

Nostalonia is the Sapien city and Eska is the Alternative city. Both of these cities are NO FIRE zones. Are Alternatives allowed to walk inside Nosalonia? Wait for E3 to answer that question.
There will also be at least one Instanced Battle Area that is a built-up city map. So for those who enjoy a little "MOUT action" it will happen. Just relax when you are purchasing that new APC or tripped out rifle. No one will be able to put a sniper round in the back of your skull. In the videos you see Alternative and Sapien NPCs in the city area. Obviously the NPCs are allowed, let's wait and see about opposing faction Players.

It's OK, Kenko. Most American's are unfamiliar with that term.

I look forward to this MOUT are teh shit..... In BF2 for example i spend 70% of the time on Strike at Karkand, Mastuur, and Sharqi (all Urban Maps in BF2). I pray they will have City battles since i think fighting in open fields and caves are ok but street fighting is much more and intense and *better* in MY OPINION. |

Yeah, MOUT are great. Buildings give you more hiding places and opportunity to get some elevation on your opponent. You can't really get lost in open terrain (cause there isn't any really). It also allows for a little more strategy (ie. flanking), in my opinion. There's nothing like knowing where a sniper is and sneaking through the back door to pop him while he's unawares.

MOUT is fun in games for the reasons you have specified.
I personally prefer wooded mountainous terrain. The trees and rocks give great cover as well. MOUT terrain tends to be very bloody. Do some reading on the Battle of Stalingrad. Clear Open Terrain is best suited for Armor and Mech Infantry (See Operation Zitadel or The Battle of Khursk).

Well then again, they did show some vehicles on the street of a city and their were cross-walks in one of the screen shots. Now the last time I checked, not everyone is mature enough to stop at a crosswalk, which could mean that people can and probably will be ran over.

Heh I can just see NPCs arresting people for reckless driving. That'd be funny. "Sir, I need to see your license." "What??!! I was never told I need a license!" "Sir, put your hands on the steering wheel. Sir! Oh crap we got a runner, call in backup..."
That'd be hilarious to watch.

hahaha if you could run people over in the major cities that would be funny as hell. So many people would die non stop from that.
Maybe they could be like. 1. Noob runs me over with his shiny new vehicle. 2. I'm like HEY! you damn noob 3. Noob is like hahaha you suck 4. Since the noob ran me over I can force him into a duel 5. I duel the noob, winner gets his vehicle. 6. I slaughter the noob and get a nice new ride :D 7. Everyone laughs at the noob 8. Noob cries and doesn't do it again. Until he gets a new vehicle and does the same thing. Again loosing his ride within the first 5 minutes of getting it. good stuff |

It sure would be fun to see but from what i've experienced with other games, Having hundreds of people just running eachother over with their vehicles seems a little, well, stupid. No offense to you mate Grind, everyone's just wants to get their freak on with their ideas. But i doubt they will put it in the game like that. -Dyna, |
