I am a Planetside vet of 5 years now, the game is obviously (to those who play or played) is not what it used to be. And all the buzz is the next best thing is going to be "Huxley"
Planetside's PvP set up was nice, in terms of being able to have a whole lot of people on one place. Is that going to be the same for Huxley? Also, What is Huxley's plan for keeping the integrity for the game. How will they fight hackers? One of the things that ruined planetside is it somehow adapted the nick name.. Hackside. beside lack of content from the dev's |

Ah, Huxley is still in Development with very few announcements and or leaks in the news. For the 'everyone being in one space' I personally am very unsure off, never being able to play the beta, or in chances ever will. lol. So cannot answer in truth.
Same can and will be said for the Hack protection, no one knows about that either. lol Unless some A**Hole Is holding out on us with details on anti-hacking utilities... All I can answer, But you never know.My personal hero for all things Huxley, Grind, May come along ans ave the day by answering your questions in well formatted stories.

Honestly, the majority of people who first start looking into Huxley are looking for a Planetside clone with better graphics and a return back to the intense battles we've seen before PS died out. Slowly people started to realize that Huxley isn't really anything like PS. Yes it'll be an MMOFPS, but PS was very gear and level based, and a pretty slow pace game. Although you can get armor and level up in Huxley, Webzen's plan from the beginning has been to have skill be the deciding factor of who wins a fight. I still think Huxley has a lot to offer. I'm most excited about the mix of fast pace FPS action with more use of tactics than in other fast pace games. I'm also excited about the territory control battles which apparently make up the PvP portion of the game once you reach a high enough level. On to your questions. The PvP battles in Huxley can hold up to 100 players on each side (200 players total). We're not completely sure how you get in and out of these battles since nobody can play the PvP portion of the korean beta and we don't get much info from webzen. As for lots of players being in one area at a time with the servers remaining lag free, the only thing I can say is have faith in technology and the UT3 engine. From the begining Huxley has planned to have 100vs100 PvP battles with huge maps and tons of epic fighting. I read an interview a while back that they could have made the battles bigger, but after doing tests they found that 100vs100 worked the best and was the most fun for their game. As for hackers. Can't say anything about that. I probably have too much faith in webzen. I kind of just expect it to be relatively hacker free but so far no information (that I know of) has been released about anti-hacking systems for Huxley. Obviously I assume they'll have something, and hopefully enough GMs to keep anyone who does cheat, out of the game. Again, Huxley isn't going to be a planetside cloan. I know it's a little dissapointing at first (I was a little turned away when I started to realize how the gameplay turned out), but now I'm getting more and more excited for Huxley to be its own game. Refer to my quote for...my quote :D
