Default World PvP / Loot

Been searching for a bit and trying to find this answer, so lets see what I get from the forums.

Is there going to be world PvP?

I.E. running around killing someone while they are doing a quest.

Or is it all instance based PvP where you can only attack people in a certain area.

Also (if there is world PvP) do you get anything for killing them? Possibly looting them dry? (If so that would be awesome!)

No that would be retarded. Runescape has alrdy done that and look at it now. Also if they do add that i will pick u off with no mrecy muhahaha. Me stealthy bad-ass!

There will be something like world PvP, which is basically an instance where you do your missions against NPC enemies but there will also be enemy players around as well (possibly doing the same kind of mission). Here you can fight both NPCs and enemy players.

As for getting loot off of enemy players we don't know how that is going to work.

So far the only loot I've seen video of is that of some loot dropping out of an NPC hybrid monster thing.

The most I can give you about affecting a player when you kill him, is the possibility of damaging their armor so they have to get it repaired, but I'm not sure if that's going to be in the game.

It would be lame to allow looting of someones equipment if you gank on em during their mission... But some high stakes PvP sounds tasty.

this game just seems awesom from what ive read so...

for sure i hope they have some form of high stakes pvp makes people in battle play more serious than without the loss of anything

well i think in terms of getting items u get expeience or money for each player kill or quest u do and u buy all your stuff from shops but high stakes would be hardcore ide just hate buysing all my stuff and losing it the same night , and also it would be way to easy for a new lvl 1 player to just run in and kill a high lvl from behind and take all of his awsome stuff . And so if you have all your badass stuff why whould u want to loot sum lvl 1 noob who just started and has terrible gear

Well losing all your gear doesn't necessarily mean anyone else gets it. It could just be destroyed.

I don't think Huxley will have that kind of high stakes gaming though (but I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of highstakes server). The gameplay would definitely be the complete opposite of what we've been seeing from videos if they added something like that.

I think it would be interesting if they implemented some sort of point system for killing enemy players. Say you kill an enemy player then you get 1 PvP point. If you get so many PvP points say about 100 then special gear would become available to you for purchase through a special NPC. Then they could implement some system to keep it from becoming overpowered such as the gear is only allowed in certain areas of the game.
