PC is supposed to cap at 200 players so I guess it's for 360.

i love the idea... but it just seems like it would be so laggy to the point where nobody would want to play... what do you think theyll do about the lag?

Honestly I don't think it'll be a problem (unless your computer is out of date and just can't run Huxley at all).

Most people who hear 100 vs 100 FPS battles automatically jump to lag as a conclusion but honestly they're building the game to handle those numbers.

Since I first found out about Huxley, I've been reading about 200 player battlefields. And we all know how long Huxley has been in development so they've had time to get it running smoothly.

There are MMOs out there that boast far greater numbers than 200 people fighting at once, and granted FPSs are a lot different but I think it can still be done.

I'm no technological server genius or anything but it's not like 200 people will be jumping around in a little room blasting rockets all over the place. The maps will be huge and the fighting will be spread out.

Maybe I just have a lot of faith in Webzen But I'm definitely not going to over look this game because it MIGHT lag, that's one thing you can really only figure out after the game has been out for a while.

well it will probably be running a little slow when it first starts out but ill bet when the servers adapt to the people itll run smooth.

im definately getting this game... for the 360 though.
so ill be waitin a bit longer than some people to get it.

Yea but now a days your lucky to find 30 vs 30 on planetside, especially if your main is on Markov.

120 which is 60 vs 60 is a pretty good fight. Even 32 vs 32 is a nice fight.

the glory days of planet side I swore I saw 1000 ppl during a 3 way, or at least it seemed like 1000.

When you get that big of a fight outdoors a frontline forms it locks down on some hill or ridge and you spend hours exchanging fire with the hill across the valley, a no mans land, until one side finally manages to break the stalemate. you have to actually start coordinating tactics to break a stalemate like that. it looks awesome too to see that many players dug in shooting tracers, rockets, lasers..Too bad my PC won't run planetside longer than 20 min now no matter how many fullscans and reinstalls.

But 60 vs 60 is still a good fight. Depends on the map I guess.

I just played Planetside a week ago after the server merge. There were pop locked continents on the gemini server. (400 players). Seemed to be doing fine. Sure the game is dying, but that was bound to happen. Heh, I played the game with ~200 fps.

I liked the use of vehicles in planetside. Hopefully huxley brings in some large maps. I heard the news about 20v20 battles. The game might just be too fast paced for large fun battles. I mean in planetside characters moved slower. In this game something like a Liberator bomber would mean nothing. Players would just jump out of the way at 30 mph. Also the system for sniping wasn't 100% accurate while moving and stuff. Too many differences to compare the two I think.
