Well like most games you have to have a specific level range before you can even use higher-level equipment. But we have no idea yet how much equipment will even vary, let alone if there's any artificial restrictions.
To use a WOW framework, we don't even know if there's going to be the equivalent of "purps", let alone any "soulbinding". Unless anyone here knows Korean and can gleam any information about this from the inventory views in the beta videos? |

The BIGGER question at hand is if there will be an item mail system like in WoW.
The only way people have twinks is that they are able to send items to their alts. If this is allowed in Huxley - then most likely there will be twinks. But without that mail system - I doubt it.

Even if you get rid of a mail system, twinking is still inevitable...it would just go back to how they did it in Everquest. Get a really close friend to just transfer the items instead. Not only that, there're lots of people who have access to 2+ accounts in many MMO's. They don't even need a friend to do it, they can do it themselves. A mailbox thing like that won't change twinking.

Twinks wont be the issue if they make it they way I'm thinking. Certain weapons for certain lvls / armor if your lower lvl u can have the best for that lvl just like anyone els.
If you can afford it. They just need to make rare / elite weapons for the top lvls only. |

What I mean is basically you have some one you know take the item and give it to the character you want the item to belong to. If it's on a 60 character, and you wanna put it on a level 10 character, you hand it to some one, and then they hand it to the 10th level character.

PS One of my friends trust me so much he allows me to use his wow account to farm fadeleaf or just screw around. As long as I pay the repair bill during my time of play - he's ok.

I could look around and verify it but don't want to take the time. Pretty sure I saw mentioned a Liscence system for weapons, armor and transportation. Seems this would limit the "twink" ability, the best item of the first tier isn't necessarily going to be "uber" when compared to the rest of that tier and even if it is superior you'll need a liscence for it. Personally I wouldn't spend whatever xp it costs to get that top of the line liscence if its going to limit other more need to have day to day items specially for the first few tiers of play.
Even if getting thru to the second or third tier is a long process that takes considerable time and not just a walk in the park like most existing mmos it is still not end game and it may not be a viable option to twink. Personally I wouldn't mind getting "ganked" at lvl 5-10 if by say 35-40 with the right planning I can take out that same squad solo. But what do I know |

Like Kraven said, as you progress higher in levels, you get more points to learn more things (IE Weapons, vehicles, armor). So you can't really give a lower level weapons that he/she can't use. So in short, no I don't think there will be twinking.
PS There was also a segment waaaay back when Huxley was first introduced saying how low levels that group up with higher levels get loads of EXP and higher levels that help lower levels get loads of EXP also. So I don't think anyones going to be staying low leveled for a while because everyone loves there EXP. |

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure battlegrounds will have level limits.
Not just anyone can enter a fight, Kang said that himself.

lol at twinking, on 360 we call it boosting or noobstomping
In an interview way long ago i read that the game will be extremely balanced. And i believe Kang gave an example of, a level 1 could own a level 50 if the level 1 was a better player than the level 50. Just because you have awesome armor and weapons doesnt mean some guy still cant take you down with a couple of shots to the face. |

Good point. Twinking is Mainly a Problem in Stat based games like WoW. If Huxley is anything they say it's going to be then the Game will be SKILL. AKA twinking means hours of PRACTICE, not grinding. Which in turn takes out the horrow of beind a new player trying to learn the ropes and some dum-ass twink comes up and one shots u. It really ruins the game. I speak from Experience.
