Default My Hopes

Haven't you wanted to play a game where you can sit with your clan all day at an area waiting for the enemy to come? Like in FPS the fighting is fast.But huxley will they make it so like theres an allied scout looking for the enemy while the rest of the allies are just sitting there walking around and talking.Then boom all of a sudden the air transports come and all hell breaks loose.

IE. Like the ending of saving private ryan.

Pretty much like real life war.Dont get me wrong it sounds like PS but PS is different.

I've kind of wanted the same thing. Like where you fight for control of a map (like a world map or something) and you gain territories etc. With slowing things down and taking time to move troops and set up defense (I love setting up defense lol) and all that good stuff, then of course once the fighting starts gameplay is pretty much up in the air for me, I like a combination of fast paced fighting, but I LOVE a good back and fourth battle with like trench fighting and stuff with a lot of cover fire involved. That's just my dreams for a game though lol (I like more modern and WWII style fighting but Huxley seems amazing anyway)

As for scouting and sitting with your clan until you're needed, I think that's honestly going to be all up to the players. I'm guessing there will be plenty of different battles going on at all times and lots of action everywhere. You could take the time to send scouts into each battle and see which needs help the most, and then when the time comes, send in the rest of your clan.

Or if you see an enemy has taken over a certain point, you can take your clan out of the main fighting, and take the time to set up a good defense at the next base.

I'm sure we've all thought of what the perfect game could be and how we all want it to be like real war, with scouting and suprise attacks followed by counter attacks and all that. But when it comes down to it, it's really up to the players.

yea i love WW2 and the way the fought.

Lol i like defence to more than offense.

I know theres a game called "WWII online" I think it's an MMOFPS WWII style. I think it's a bit old but apparently it's pretty realistic. I've never played it so I have absolutely no idea what the gameplay is like but if anyone has some insight on it maybe we can learn something from it :D

i really like the paroling idea it gives the game atmosphere whenwaiting to pownce on an unsepecting group but most people wont be bothered to stay and wait unless its an mission one side is told to patrol 2 minutes after the other side is given the mission to await an enemy patrol and punce.

Like I said lol, it's a pretty old game, but none the less an MMOFPS I think. maybe I'll look into it and see if there's actually any scouting and waiting for ambushes etc.



And about patrolling, I like the idea too, and actually most people do, but you're right, not many people want to sit there for too long.

I think it would be cool if they had quests that sent a group of enemies scouting to the same area, so they'd for sure run into each other.

kind of like:

team 1 gets a mission to go scout vector 6 and stay there for 5 minutes

team 2 gets a mission and also has to scout vector 6 and has to get there within 5 minutes and kill any enemies.

This way the 2 teams would be forced to meet if they wanted to complete the mission and if something happened that meant 1 team didn't make it, the others could still get exp. for taking the time to scout the area (maybe not as much though).

The scouting zones could either be important zones on battlefields so they actually change a games outcome or just random areas around the Huxley world to make for some good squad vs squad fighting or something.

I really hope they have something like that. I'm sure they could find a way to make it work, even if my idea seems a bit off, i'm sure they could figure it out.

Defence sounds great, but so does offense. I'm planning on being a phantom and maybe they'll add objectives that require you to make it to a vector without being seen and plant a device or assasinate a key player.

So many possibilities!

They have a game where you can sit for an hour defending a base only to find that the enemy decided not to come. Truly it gets irritating after a while.

Well you could really do that in any game. There's never a sure thing that an enemy is going to head your way. Even sometimes playing Unreal Tournament 2004 I would hop in a tank and stick with a few other people to guard a base, and nobody would ever come.

What I'm hoping for is a way for make defending a base always have a purpose. Lot's of people like setting up defenses, but unfortunately many times those defenses never get into action.

So if a few people could get a mission to go scout an area, and a different few people got a mission to go defend an area, those two squads would definitely meet up and fight it out.

They could even add it in to the battlefields as a side mission or something. So you join in the battle and at your nearest base you can get a mission to go scout an area on the battlefield. And on the enemies side, they could get a similar mission that purposefully matches the two squads up to scout/defend the same area, thus starting a nice squad vs squad fight that has good potential to snowball into a giant all out crazy battle!

My Hopes,

Honestly, I would kill(lots of people) for this to be on as grand a scale as Planetside when it came to MMOFPS PvP. With the amazing graphics and (hopefully) better hit registry such massive scale open pvp would be amazing. Whole continents at war and such, hacking in and taking over bases or just taking them over via force and bloodshed. That is my hope for Huxley.

Yea it would be amazing if there was like a no mans land in the world where the 2 factions can just have a down right Chaos. instead of just waiting lobbys and sh1t

Hopefully with 100 vs 100 battles and giant maps, there will be something like a no mans land already in there.

I just assume they'll have lots of awesome stuff included in the battlefields since they say they're going to be huge

yea from the vids ive seen i think this is gona be a rly gd game.
+ the sheer size of the battels and the difrent weapons and classes is gona make it a verry versitile and fun game 2 play.
