Rankings?

I am really interested in this game and im trying to figure out something.
You guys think there are going to be ranks? Kind of like Halo 2 or any other way?

There will be ranks as in levels. You level up through a combination on PvE and PvP with the level cap starting at 50.

As to like a PvP rank or something, such as earning the rank of general because you killed a million people during PvP or something, I don't think they've said anything about stuff like that.

no there wont be ranks like in halo 2 because halo 2 is terrible making you terrible your terrible and this game is going to be amazing and make halo 2 look terrible cause it is terrible.

lol I don't know why people are worried about huxley being too fast. you definitely get used to it.

halo seems really really slow to me and it drives me crazy when I play it. But then I get used to it and it seems normal. Same goes for faster games like UT. After playing halo I think UT is really fast but in like 10 min. I'm used to it again.

Anyway, I guess it would be cool to have rankings for like the top killers and stuff. just for fun

Anyway, I think you should level up through PvE.
And a lvl 50 cap is what I bet my brother there'd be XD.
So hopefully, that makes it to the final product and I get myself five bucks.

PvP Ranks such as General, et cetera, would be awesome.
It'd give people some incentive to PvP.

It's confirmed you level up through a combination of both PvE and PvP. Once you do a certain amount of one kind, you are forced to do the other if you want to continue to level up.

If they add PvP rankings I hope it's nothing like the old honor system in WoW. It catered completely to those who played constantly and dind't really reward real skill.

Dear God no. A company would be crazy for doing that. The only thing close to that would be arena rankings or something of the sort.

I think ranking is is very important for PvP becouse everyone would know who the best or atleast most skilled clan is. If I had a new clan I would want to challenge another low ranked clan like my'n. Once we got some wins would could challenge tougher clans and eventualy challenge the best.

GLobal rankings would be a stupid idea. Theres ABSOLUTELY no point in it. You can show your better than someone by fragging them or they can obviously see your level in game. I guess console users are new to this concept.

Also as to the speed of the game, Halo is one of the slowest fps's i've played if you think Huxley is to fast, you're probably trying to play with a controller. In my personal oppinion I hope they increase the game speed to something like Quake 3: Arena. That would be satisfactory to all the hardcore PC gamers.

If they had rankings, I'd really hope they would put some thought into them. I don't want to just see a list of people and be like..."oh hey there's number one..."

If they're going to rank clans and individual players they should do it in a cool way. Like announce it in the capital cities and have their picture up on a big billboard. Maybe even let people take screenshots of their clan to put up for clan rankings.

Also if they were going to have rankings, I'd like to see special events advertised in game, and also give the ability for other players to watch high ranked players fight it out for the top spots. Kind of like a gladiator arena style match where a crowd can watch people fight etc.


I'll be happy if they have rankings or not. But if they do, I want it to fit well into the game. Not just some list I look up online and scroll down to see who's on top.

BEST IDEA IVE HEARD ON THIS FORUM LOL. that would be fun and gove the game more heart i agree with u 250% and if u could watch high ranked players/clans fight u could mabay work out there strengths and weakneses and use them to ur advantage. and i h8 happing to surf the web to find out how my K/d Ratio is getting on and who is the best clan in Euroupe they should have it in the game as u said on big bill boards in the citys or little like game P.cs that u can see what ur K/d ratio is ur rankings and find out who is the best and see screen shots and send ingame messeges.

I'm sure everyone would much rather have a ranking system put into the game this way. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to be advertised in game??

And ahhh I can see it now. Sitting at my computer at home, logging on to Huxley, sitting down at a computer in game, and then chatting to others in game through a computer in game. hahaha. That would still be cool though, to have something where you can see other clans screenshots etc. while you play the game.

Right now I just can't get over how intense some of high ranked clan vs clan battles would be. It would be so much fun to watch and see how everything turned out.

I've read that certain things WILL be ranked, but that it will NOT determine your level.
It's just for bragging rights pretty much.

So you can be a lv50 with uber guns and a 2/40 KD ratio. That won't effect your level but only your standing on the ladder with other lv50's.

And I'm sure if you ended up with the most kills through out the whole battleground fight, you might get an EXP bonus or something. It's only fair. That's my two cents.
