Ya most of us have seen the most recent gameplay footage but thse battlegrounds seem pretty small i beleive that this is becaude there just lil demo thingys and dont need big maps because of lck of players but i wonder if they will have battlegrounds in rundown cities, big fields like in an older video, just a huge variety kinda like counter strike but of course bigger but different types.

Well those big fields were PvE as i recall and why the battlegrounds are small? Cause there aint enough players to make them big. And even though they expand in size players join and no matter where you look it will look like it's little cause it will be 100vs100 and lots of players gonna be there but at different locations.

we can't really tell anything about how big the maps they have shown are because the gameplay videos have been mostly fighting in the city where buildings block all of your view. The maps could go on forever but we'd only see the small space surrounded by buildings.
Hopefully soon they'll show a view of an aircraft flying high overhead or something so we can get a scope of a huge battlefield. you're also probably right about most of the gameplay being smaller battles just because they're only testing and probably haven't done much testing with 100 vs 100 all at once. I'm sure the battlefields will be huge though, considering they're boasting huge battlefields and they said that a vehicle will actually be useful even if you only use it to travel around the city. So the main city alone must be huge. |

I would rather that they have the thing where you are threatened to be be shot instead of running into an invisible wall if you walk too far out, thats alot more realistic, I hate the games where you just run into an invisible wall, thats stupid.

Yeah you mean like in BFs? You got out of zone time counts down and then you die if you didn't get out of there, all though they still have invisible walls, cause if you take the jet in BF2 and go in high speed you crash into emptyness "Invisible wall". So the still have that but it just normaly shouldn't be reachable but with jet it was :P But yeah i would prefer it this way too.

Yeah..except in BF2 I hate the voice that says it, it sounds like George Bush rofl...also its kinda stupid because IRL they wouldn't threaten to kill you, they should say you will like be transported back out or something like that

Well what makes someone a pwnage pilot is mainly three things:
1.) A joystick, you get screwed by people with them 2.) Dodging skillz...your true skillz show when you can dodge the missiles 3.) Shooting and flying at the same time if possible...that can be difficult when your flying something AND shooting at the same time. |

Sorry to say this but, joysticks sucks never played with them and i still ownz as pilot. Got Logitech G5 and keyboard, best controls ever.

Well just because you can't use one doesn't mean they suck rofl...and joysticks ARE better for flying...thats your opinion.

Ok, let's not get off topic. The only way I see an invisible wall happening in if you vary WAY too far from the feild. Think about it. They most likely will give people just enough room for maneuvers and planning strikes. I bet they will have perfectly acceptable boundaries for flying vehicles and ground forces. Even if the boundaries were too small, I'm sure a nicely packed set of patches will fix everything.
So stop complaining and wait for the game like the rest of us. :D

Hmm, i thought of it, and thought since this is a battle zone. It should be shielded so that nothing outside of ti can get injured. I mean they might just simply putt energi shields around the battle zone which are seeable and if you hit them you crash or what hits them simply burns up or blows up. With this you could see the town from within the shield but not be able to do any damage to the town which is also realistic since they have skys.
This seems to me to be the most realistic solution, energi shields around the battlezone which can't be penetrated.

Another viable and realistic option is minefields, but I still prefer the warning.
But then again anything is better than the invisible wall :P
