I'm sure you wont be able to get a aircraft certification until you've leveled up a bit. Kind of like getting a mount (horse) in WoW.

Depending on if we get license points right when we start the game, I would think we could certified for aircraft if we wanted to. It's kind of up in the air for an FPS, since most FPS you can just jump into any vehicle you want.

Then again it might be cool if vehicles were kind of eased into the game. Like maybe save the biggest tanks and crazy aircraft for higher levels. So when you get into the next player bracket you get to see cool new things being added into the battlefield and everything progressively gets more and more intense.

I guess it would really work fine both ways. I really would like to see the higher level fighting be more intense than lower level fighting, which I'm assuming it will be just because of the addition of more sockets and more license points at a players disposal. But saving the biggest/best vehicles for the higher levels could be cool too. Just as long as it doesn't take too long to get into some good action.

I really don't feel like playing a regular MMORPG where I have to spend 3 hours killing boars and little faeries before I can see some cool fighting. I want Huxley to be hectic and brutal from the start

Yeah, I see what you mean. But I'm still leaning toward having a certification to use drop ships, heavy tanks and whatnot. Reason being, you know some noob is going to hop into the vehicle key capping one of those towers or whatever and crash into a cliff or something and make it very difficult to win the battle.

Maybe if Webzen could at least have a short training course where you fly through a few rings, shoot a few targets, do a quick mission, and you've got your pilot's license. Not to mention that it would add a bit more to the realism factor.

Well there are always going to be people who are terrible at driving vehicles or flying aircraft. And despite the fact that they aren't any good they want to get better or just think flying around is fun.

Even if they pass a little test or something a good number of people are going to be flying around, not paying attention, and slam right into a wall, causing everyone inside to explode.

I don't think anything like that will be a very big problem though. Webzen said the combat will resemble Quake and UT and from all the gameplay videos out there we can see that it does indeed resemble that style of fighting. So if we think about that, it doesn't really matter when some guy who isn't paying attention nose dives his dropship into the ground for no reason. Sure everyone has to respawn and get back into the fight but that really doesn't take that long in games like UT or Quake.

And if you're the kind of player who really focuses on every little thing in a battle (like taking 10 seconds to get back into a fight) then you can always join a clan where the players will most likely play a little better and you won't have to worry about things like that.

But like I said, I actually agree with you, that it could be cool to save them best vehicles for higher levels. I just want to make sure I'm having fun from the second I log on for the first time to when I log off later that night.

Yeah,I totally agree with all your points on vehicles and the pilots/drivers,I get many people driving me around who can't fo if it depended on thier lives(i would write soemthing more rude, but this is a forum).I just hope people who play this realize that even the little things can mean victory or losing and in Huxley i believe that both will play a big role.
