I'm sure all the people active on this forum will be playing within the first few days of the game release lol and probably playing during the beta too
Games always seem so fun when everyone is just starting out lol. Nobody to tell you what to do, you're all on your own. It makes it that much better |

Grief system in planetside was good, you could still kill someone if they were being an idiot or you didnt like them.. But you just had to limit it, i remember running an entire outfit over who acted like a bunch of a**holes all the time in a galaxy, got like 15 grief :D

I haven't seen anything posted on specific server rule sets either if they are even gonna have any. I for one believe that inside the 2 major cities where the soldiers can go for relaxation and reprieve from battle weapons should be disabled. Makes sense that with the technology that both the races have that there could be some sort of weapon lock that kicks in when a player enters the 2 main cities. However OUTSIDE those 2 safety zones it should be completely open. The only drawback is that you build up some sort of TK points for killing a friendly which would disable your use of shops/auction houses/vendors/lower your drop rates from mobs/disabling some use of the equipment the player already has like socketed enhancements stop working. Like I stated with the technology that the two races have this would be entirely feasable. Perhaps the armor that you are wearing sends a signal to the headquarters of your race's city reporting the kill? Anyway with there being a one char. per server limit I could see this system working since noone would want to just bork up thier character for sh*ts and giggles after working it up in levels. Perhaps put in a point of no return that makes it VERY hard to work these effects off if the player has just been a complete jackass. I for one like to have the choice of killing my own side if problems arise with folks on my team but I'd expect to have to make a choice to pay a heavy penalty if I chose to do that. Just a few of my thoughts.

That's actually one of the reasons I really like that there will be a 1 character per server limit. Hopefully people will take their characters a little more seriously (especially once you level up a bit) and not go on so many TK rampages.
Personally I like having a built up reputation on whatever server I choose to play, and if there's only one character than once you build up a rep it'll stick with you until you do something big to change it. I'm sure that won't stop people from making new characters on other servers for the sole purpose of killing thier teammates for no reason but that's where the punishments should come in. Having to wait in observer mode or just getting kicked out of battle. Personally my favorite would be to have whoever did the team killing automatically brought down to 1 hp and then made an enemy to both sides. And then after they die they respawn again with 1 hp and still enemy to both sides. Even if they find it fun, it's not like they can do much damage when a stray bullet could easily kill them at any second. Either that or just automatically have any damage that would have been done to a teammate, given to the person who shot. So if I shoot a missile into the back of my squadmate then I'll just die instead of him. And to be on subject. Does anyone know yet if there will for sure be any outside "open world"? That we can kind of just wander in? I know the battlefields will be big enough for sufficient wandering and exploring but it would still be cool to have an open world where anything could happen.

I suggest implanting a Style of PvP very similar to the style of FoM, only difference would be that the weapons are locked in the Main City's. All the other place's should be open for PvP for everyone. Imagine Raid Parties on Villages, Sapiens killing the other dudes or vica versa.
In RL we kill each other as well, only thing stopping us is the Law. So just making you an outlaw in case you started killing your race mates. That would open up an other Idea, which is automatic bounty hunt missions. Killing outlaws will give you exp. and money and shouldn't be punished, even if they are from the same race. Long post, short meaning - PvP, not in main city's but everywhere else yeah => Raids on villages - Killing your own teammates => outlaw, killable by everyone => bounty hunt missions? What you think |

Haha,I like the Bounty Idea.
Even try to Tk me,and you wont see anything but rockets flying towards you for Days ! Obviously in cities you cant have PVP.. nor kill people with cars..(And as mention in 1 post) Pushing people.. Imagine pushing some 1 off the edge of a building... O.o Awesome. I like the outlaw idea,since in America's army and so many other FPS's ive played.. you get that idiot who just has to kill his own men for fun..Become an outlaw and fight EVERY 1 ... and die 1000 times ^^... Good Idea's Thrustin ! Callice. |

Well - I'm interested in seeing how people can raid things.
I'm hoping in some kind of weird way, players can raid other factions cities - not for control of it. Just to do it. So if the whole world's areas aren't instanced - there could be like a 30 man raid on a city.

Instanced = Load Screen.
Like in Grand Theft Auto games how the whole world had no load times, but only the inns and hotels. Like that. So if the outside world works like GTA, then I'm sure it would be easy for raids. But if the major cities are instanced than it might be impossible for proper raids.

You can attack other factions outside the city in Huxley. I read that while your outside the city, doing a quest or killing NPC's that you may run into members of another faction. But they said these meetings will rarely result in bloodshed, but if a bunch of Alternatives came on me, I dont know about you but im gonna unload on them.
