Huxley - A Free 2 Play Game?

Well... Considering the new news about Ijji being the US/Western Europe publisher http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/g...ews/read/10867
it really makes me think that the PC version of Huxley is going to be F2P... I mean, tell me, has Ijji ever hosted a non F2P item shop game?

I just found this shocking, considering I thought I was going to have to shell out $50+ dollars and a subscription fee, but if it IS a free game, I am all for that move lol.

Anyone else's thought?

ijji have premier program with some subscription.. it will give u some virtual items.

I hope huxley dont will be F2P. F2P = kids = game is ruined by hax

Agreed rodier, I prefer to pay a little to leave at least a couple of kids out of the game.

Huxley is nowhere to be found currently on gamestop.com so this may be true which sucks because this should be a game that is paid for. Webzen invested millions of dollars developing this game over who knows how many years now......company in debt......is this really true they are making it a free game? Can anyone confirm any information that indeed Huxley is going to be 50 bucks at a retail store with a subscription fee coming out november 25th? Ign.com is saying TBA 2009 and newegg.com is indeed saying nov. 25th at 50 bucks. So who is telling the truth...who is a genius at these forums to this mystery since it was taken off gamestop.com recently I'm indeed confused and shocked. After someone answers this question also state who is delivering the online servers for this game and is webzen getting a cut each month for a subscription since stock holders would be upset if not.

I really hope this gme is retail based, if ijji makes it, the game will have a short live life. It will be a hackers paradise, and ijji is just sh!t if you ask me. We need a real north american company making this, like Havok, or even an english based Webzen. I really hope they make this a retail game :D

I've actually been hearing that Webzen is going to put a lot of money into making Huxley run smoothly. So just because IJJI will be part of it, doesn't mean it'll be bad.

Also I've been reading a little bit that Huxley will be retail but people are starting to lean toward there being no monthly fee. Still, obviously nothing is even close to certain.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against kids, hey I got a kid of my own.

But still, they are annoying. Flaming, teamkilling, blocking etc etc.. Usually you can trace that kind of behaviour back to the younger crowd on the servers.

Look I'm hearing you out but......it not being on amazon.com or gamestop.com really is leaning towards not being a retail based game which sucks. I want it to be retailed based dont get me wrong, but its really unlikely if those two big retail stores took it off their product list. Hopefully it can be purchased retail by download which may happen which all of us can agree thats better then a free game. Are you saying that Gametop and Amazon don't plan on selling Huxley? If so, where did you get this info? Since we don't even have much of a release date yet, I don't see how a retail store could take Huxley off their list.

Any I'm not too big of a fan of kids who can't stfu but I don't mind it all that much. Honestly, even games that are infested with a big kiddy population, I don't even notice enough to make me really pissed. It's more of an every now and then occurance. But maybe that's just because I'm more of a relaxed player, (though I may play seriously and for hours on end) and tend to just laugh along with whatever stupidity is going on.

Bots however, I have no carefree attitude for. I can't stand bots, something about them just irritates me. I guess it just makes me think people are treating the game like a second job, instead of playing for fun, sitting back and enjoying the full game.

I'm also not a fan of the whole..."Pay X amount of coins (which you buy with real world money) and you get a sweet gun or vehicle". Again...just play the game, slow down, enjoy it all. If they need to put a micro transaction system like that in there, make the stuff you can buy more like novelty items, stuff that just makes you look cooler or something.
