WEBZEN, Inc. (NASDAQ: WZEN), a leading global online entertainment developer, publisher and operator, announced today that its massively multiplayer online first-person shooter, HUXLEY, was recently named ?Best Online Game? at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) by Hardcore Gamer Magazine. The highly anticipated HUXLEY is scheduled for release in 2006 for PC/CD-ROM. The MMOFPS is also slated for the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
?Hardcore Gamer Magazine?s audience represents the very gamers we hope will love the fast action and intense game play we are putting into HUXLEY,? said Nam Ju Kim, CEO, WEBZEN Inc. ?WEBZEN has received much critical acclaim and positive feedback for HUXLEY since its debut at E3. This award is another testament to the development team?s vision of making a game that will perfectly blend the best qualities of first-person shooters with those of more traditional massively multiplayer online games.? HUXLEY is a massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) utilizing the Unreal 3.0 engine and WEBZEN?s proprietary networking technology to create an enriched game play experience with up to 5,000 players in the same world. HUXLEY takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where human beings have mutated and divided into two opposing races ? the Sapiens and the Alternatives. Key to their battle for survival is Lunarites, a promising new energy source highly coveted by each race. Forced to fight against one another for the continuance of their races, the Sapiens and Alternatives must accomplish the unthinkable as they work to eliminate the opposition and gain control of the world and its resources. ?HUXLEY looked and played exceptionally well at E3,? said Adam Pavlacka, executive editor, Hardcore Gamer Magazine. ?HUXLEY?s focus on action-oriented play sets it apart from the numerous MMOs on the market.? |

I can only immage if the fan base grows enough that it'll be huge, Ive been tellling everyone about it for almost 4 months now, maybe a more noticable link on the webzen page to lead to the huxley forums would be good......But as long as it's not repetitive like planetside...capture and hold, capture and hold, capture and hold It'll be amazing...IMO.

Planetside is still a great game but it is fairly repetitive. I was hooked on it for 3 years or more so I gotta say it was a good first MMOFPS. |

No RF Online isnt an mmofps.. its one of the hardcore Korean games, designed for the eastern market, with a basic port to the western market grind fests. You will basically spend hours on hours on hours fighting probably hundreds of thousands of pointless flappy creatures ... amognst hundreds of other people fighting over those pointless flappy creatures even before you can get involved in any of the pvp aspects. Could not beleive how different that game was from the advertising and hype.

Best online at E3 no way! .....wait I've never heard of 'Hard Core Gamer'
Oh and here are the stock quotes for Webzen. Pitch in if you like. If oyu own more then 50% of the company guess what....you own it! It's just like a web browzer video game. Play all you want. Then sell the company for profit and get all the workers fired. Isn't it fun?

Too bad it sucked balls at release, those early bugs and shoddy gameplay killed it for people.
If WWIIOL was then what it is now it'd be awesome.

Oh excuse me please...
Most people refer to PlanetSide as the First Successful MMOFPS... Sine WWIIOL Sucked Balls and flopped, that don't quite make it very successful now does it?
