Default Cinimatic Combat or Classic ?

Well i have seen some ingame shots and stuff and dunno realy how it's gona be...

but i hope it's gona be combat alla Trailer movie style. not normal UT style.
It would be great if people died when you shot at them and stuff.

I think the combat is gonna look like Unreal Tournament 2004 kinda but the graphics way better

Why are you speculating about the health/armor system when we've already seen exactly how it works in the E3 videos? Armor seems to recharge over time, and health you probably need some sort of pickup or item or skills. And it does take about the same amount of weapon hits as UT2k4... which is nowhere near 50 (3 shots from the rifle seemed to kill in the E3 vid).

If you shoot at someone 50 times and don't kill them in UT, you aren't hitting them. You can shoot at someone a million times in any game, but if you can't hit them it won't make much difference... and plenty of guns do more than 100 damage in 1 hit, so I don't know what you're complaining about.

Yes, if you think that Webzen isn't going to sell Huxley because it's too much like UT, well, you're just wrong. Huxley is going to sell no matter what at this point, if only for the reason that it's about as anticipated as gears of war, and PC users finally get some action on the new engines coming out. Hell, even if Huxley was as shitty as planetside was as an fps I'd still probably get it. I can't say as i'd play it for a long time, but that's another story.

just sayin that huxley would be cooler if you could kill people in shit loads insted of making a fight one on one each time you see someone. If you can take many shots then it means this is gona be like DOD-Source where it dos not matter there is a MG shooting at you aslong as you are good you can still jumb like a retarded monkey and take the flags. i don't want to see that in a MMO especialy not Huxley.

"Cool" has no bearing on functionality. As you (perhaps) saw in the E3 ingame clips, its VERY much like UT and Q4 with strafin n bunnyhopping.

Bunny hoping im guessing is gonna be actually good in this game as much as i hate it in other games it would make sense that its in this game and i have a question

there was a thread that talked about like MOVES and stuff and like gadgets i was wondaring if anyone could point me in that direction of that article plz

I wish people wouldnt exagerate, if you played UT enough you'd notice that all the weapons kill pretty damn quick, provided you can shoot for crap. Flak cannon can kill in one shot, rocket launcher in two etc. The only exception would probably be the assult rifle. The thing in UT that causes such long ttk's is the fact that other players are very hard to hit.

Anyway, UT style ftw. The market is saturated with these realism shooters.

Exactly Dement. Fast paced shooters ftw. Pity hawk, but it looks like the characters will be more armored with armor regen going on. I'd suggest you give ghost recon a shot, crappy FPS, decently realistic and insta kills. Pretty much what makes a game suited to campers.

DM/sci-fi style shooters aren't meant to simulate real combat, they're meant to give you an experience that you wouldn't get outside of gaming. As long as you keep in mind that different styles of games require different approaches, you should be able to enjoy any of them.

For one side to be on the offensive, the other generally ends up pushed back onto the defensive, at least until they turn the tide, it will depend on the gameplay though - if cover and strategic thinking can offer a counter against the rapidly advancing enemies, people will use that. Camping/defending a fixed position will certainly play a part but the aim is for it not to become a campfest where neither side wants to break cover - hence the pace of the gameplay they have shown. Its all about balance.

Exactly Offensive wave. -> if fails fall back to a defense posion and wait for reinforcements. yup. Camping is diffenetly going to be a big part of Huxley. everything else would be stupid. "okay chaps let's all go attack and hope that not a single of the 100 enemies go around us and take our undefended base ."
