the first giulds were formed in i belive france like 1800's they were crafting guilds..... the crafters would come together help each other out and would profit more as a group than rather solo back in that time were it was extremely hard living.... BOTTOM LINE IT CAN BE CALLED WHAT YOU WANT SO DONT SPAZ OUT IF I SAY GUILD LEAGUE OR SORORIETY......

Ok I have a few ideas on how it would work
1. Guild Halls or conqueable areas would have to be under siege for 1 WHOLE day allowing for both sides to get their players their for at least some part of the day(Main Reason for this would be so someone couldn't come and take your hall at like 2 in the morning.) You would gain points for kills/defense/offense/strategy and a ton of other stuff heh. 2. 1 guild challenges the other for their guild hall. The other guild accepts and takes the challenge and they set a time. and if the assualting guild lost they would pay money/territory to the other guild. At the set time they would go into an instanced fight in which it would be like a castle siege. 3. You go into your residential area or guild hall area of the city, and are automatically taken to your guild hall. I dont like this idea becuase I think the coolest part of a city would be seeing the castles and guild halls everywhere. 4. Shared guild halls. For example if your a single guild and you want a guild hall you only have acess to small hole in the wall places. Wheras if you ally with like 10 other guilds you can Opt for a HUGE castle that all of you would share. -Sproth |

The thing to keep in mind here is that, in any particular city, all the guilds (I'll just use that term here) there are going to be allies 100% of the time as far as I can figure. If this is the case, I don't see why they wouldn't just have 1 big "Guild Area" where different guilds' headquarters would be located. It would be a lot more convenient for inter-guild communication as well.
Opposite-race guilds/players are going to be constantly fighting for contentious areas that contain things like resources. I don't see any reason why they would want you to fight over your basic guild housing area. It's not like there won't be plenty of more useful things to fight over. |

but i don't think it would be possible to make.
Tho an idea for a guild thing. would be like. A guild hall/fort/base has a shield which makes it impossible for enemies to enter. then let's say every second week there is a day where it have to recharge in that period the enemy can enter and take your guild hall if it is fails to be defended. what you think about that idea ^^ ? |

Being able to own a building in a city with limited housing is one of the reasons that one of these guild halls will be used for prestige. If you have unlimited space, then guild halls don't matter two hoots and a damn.

the guild hall (i perfer outfit base) point system should be based on the City of Villians system. where every member contributes points to the guilds funds: kills, a percent of the individual players points, and number of members. With those points they can upgrade the size of their base, and buy items, like armories, guns, and defences. also halls could be taken over from an attack, but they attack has to be scheaduled by the leader of the opposing clan. this way the defending outfit knows when the other clan is attacking so there is a fun fight for the base.
