That and they suck and wish they were 1337 so they go find hack downloads. The people who make the cheats are usually the guys who like to play around, the ones who download any are the desperate ones. not all cheaters are crappy at games, they just like trying new things and like playing around with a cheat then switch back to normal when they are bored of it but like making them for others as it gives them something to do but there are people you will find VERY hard to know is cheating because they use private cheats. I've visited several cheating sites not to download (because i am legit all the way..i only tried cheats once and that was to see what i'm looking for and it was a private server my ex friend made to test them out on then they went to the trash bin), but to see what's new and which games are popular with them, and to see what they are like community wise. I used to be friends with people who cheated all the time and don't really care about cheaters unless they kill me and think i'm nothing to them when i know legitly i can take them out more times then they can me but i got a crappy connection so it's kinda hard to be good at hitting targets with good aim and pings always really high and i got cable modem and a near top of the line rig.

Hackers are lowlives. So are the retards that download them. I reckon I should make a hack or two for a game that backfires on the user. That'll teach them a lesson.

If the EULA says you cannot modify their program and/or cheat while using their program, then yes it is against the contract that you sign every time you hit "I agree"
As for banning people based on their hard drive's serial number . . . well lets just say that modding an xbox and getting caught is a bit different from using an aimbot in a game. Here's a single example of why you don't ban hardware. LAN centers.

IP ban won't deter any hackers at all (unless they are script kiddies, and know nothing about networks).
For instance, I use a modem on my network, and (unfortunately), it fails several times a day, making me reset it. Every time the modem is reset, the ip changes. Other than that, I think that the serial number on the pc components are nice, given that it is a flawless system, which I doubt. |
