Default Pay Per Month?

Hey this game looks like it could be really cool, just wondering if there is going to be a cost per month and if so what is it? Thanks!

I got a friend that just asked me the same question. I just re-read everything huxley I could get my eyes on and to the best of my knowledge NO. Who knows it could change but thats usually a fee reserved for PC games. With XBL you already pay for there service so its seems to make sense that you wouldn't have to pay. they may make the PC gamers pay.

Default Thanks

Ok, thanks but about the xbox having no charge. i dont think thats right because i read some where you have to pay for final fantasy whatever online in adition to the xbox live cost.

I'd appriciate it if an admin would answer this question more surely though.

You said you already pay for xbox live. You already pay for your internet connection, as well as games like WoW, SWG, Planetside etc. So that isnt a very good reason

I'm sorry are you talking to me? PC games usuall make you pay for games like WoW, Planetside so are you saying Huxley will have some subscription fee.

He was saying that you play for xbox live and net connection to use those services. As PC users, we don't have to pay microsoft for a xbox connection but still have to pay upkeep fees on MMO games so they can keep their servers running and keep us happy. I'm fully expecting to be seeing a subscription fee equal to that of the other top MMOs these days, which is about $15 USD. Just because it is also going to be on Xbox doesn't mean their going to call of charging people for their own provided services.

I appreciate the feedback. The thread starter asked if we would have to pay as a xbox user and I said that is a fee usually reserved for PC's, for the reason you and I have stated. He asked this because of the fee we had to pay as XBOX USERS to play Final fantasy, get it?

i think its a nice game but pay per month for a shoot em up game where u can make ur own item.. it sounds a bit cheap shot from the makers.. if u want lvl up go play UT2004 with a lvl mod u can go to lvl 255 where u also can ajust skills, and drive cars and blow up shit.. must say if they dont make something extra ecstrodenary.. like a noob free world or something..

i wouldnt pay 12 euro per month for a game that is just like ripped off from 2 other game types PLUS all the chinese farmers, dirty trade channel spammers, and so many noob pick up groups, omg i would never run out of bad things there can happen in such a game.. :-S

but the upside is u can make guns, (drive all things that aint blown up) zerg attacks, and then maybe some "instances" or something where u can get a "epic gold pistol with gnomish death ray of the gen mutated super alien"? :-P

i dont know how you other feel about it but this is my opionion

You need to do a lot more reading then to understand why Huxley is not everything you have just described.

Back to the thread topic... XBOX users will have to pay the same as everyone else. You may have to pay subscription costs to live and the internet connection but then again you only paid £200 for your console as opposed to £1000+ for the PC. Its a completely different type of game to the "normal" console stuff, providing online services to 4 - 16 player games is not a big drag, you can host several servers on a single machine or host the game on one of the consoles, providing multiple servers for 5000 player games is somewhat different ( you also have to factor in ongoing game development and 24 hour online support and customer services that the makers of unreal tournament type games just dont have to worry about).

If you dont want to pay the "extra" cost, on top of your ISP, phoneline and xbox live... then dont, and dont play that type of game, in my oppinion you are missing out but its your decision as to wether you decide to play or not.

I just want to say if this game IS going to be free then 9/10 it's going to be a crappy game inless it runs on donations or something but still who is going to donate -_- I expect at least 10$ per month and i already pay 15$ for World of Warcraft but I still really like how this game looks so WHAT DO I CHOOSE! (little change of subject there but you get me right.)

This game WILL have a fee. It will be 10-15$ , most likely closer to $15.00. You probly get a free month for buying the game, so try it for a month and if its cool, keep playing. If not, move on. It's really simple.

it might have a month free trial

or you could simply spend $15 for a month and see if you like it, it's not that much money although the game is 60 but thats your choice

I have no idea what you are trying to say but from the tone i imagine that you are currently debating what colour crayon to use to colour in your next picture.

Definitely expect to see a subscription fee for this game. Personally, speaking I have no problem paying a monthly fee as long as the game is worth it, and the price is reasonable. Games like WoW that charge 15 bucks are ridicilous for the amount of content you get and constant server issues. On the other hands games like FFXI are great at 12 bucks a month because you get great amounts of content but crappy customer service.

As long as Huxley has a larger amount of content, is entertaining, and fully supported by the devs in every area I have no problem paying up to 14.99 a month. Sadly, based what Ive seen from e3 this year right now the game isnt worth a penny.

I think $15 dollars a month will most likely be the price. I'm willing to pay for it because Huxley looks to be a great game.
