Not for the engine, there will probably be paid testers for the 360 secured with NDAs to work on their balancing issues and gameplay mechanics.

As for the PC beta, can't wait for them to start. Wouldn't count on it being before september however.

Ya not sure if you guys play(ed) planetside, but their beta was only 2-3 months before release. Assuming that Huxley is coming out in early 2007 (this info taken from several sources) beta would probably be late 2006. Def not b4 september, I must agree

Well, basically at some point beta will be annouced, and signups will become available. Not sure how many testers they will allow, but if its only a small amount, than count on only the people with good computers getting in. I hope they let in a good amount though. Beta is not only testing, its a couple months of free fun

so the more people to fight, the better.

Don't count on getting into a 360 beta. Not sure how thats gonna work out, but it may not be to regular players. PC is where its at for beta.

I hope it is just the ones with good computers, because then I would get to Beta. My bets are that the mass beta testing takes place in Korea though, and that open beta testing doesn't happen here (America).

A lot of times they offer a cluster of Beta slots to the larger Guilds intersested in the game. You may want to take a look a the Guild thread and see about joining one of them

best bit about betas is the glitches. you level up too quick before they nerf the rate you do. so the people who play when it first comes out before they nerf it, get a massive advantage and head start over others.

stop naggin, u xbox 360 people are just counting down the days before you get pwned by us PC gamers.

they will probably restart the servers so you wont have too worry about beta players being level 50 at the start of the game.

Another case of 'l337 kiddyness'. If your a good gamer you wont care about 'pwning'. If you act cool and casual you will be the best player out there

Most 'l337' people I've met really arnt that good at games.
