Default Class and Experience

ok everybody ive seen some discussion about classes and all that jazz but then i found this article..

[The vehicles in Huxley will serve not only as strong offensive weapons, but they will also be crucial in transporting squads in battle. There will be several land, sea, and air vehicles based on the class that the player chooses.]

does this imply that people can chose to become a pilot, naval capitan, ground transporter??

in addition to this i found some info on experience and leveling that i hadnt heard about before

[Huxley’s advancement system is actually separated into two. In the early part of the character advancement system, players can shape their character in the style they like best. After that, players can then add depth to their characters. ‘Experiences’ and ‘Battle points’ are two elements of character advancement. ‘Experiences’ will affect the earlier part of character development and ‘Battle Points’ will affect the later part of a character’s development in a big way.
In the earlier part, by acquiring licenses, characters can have opportunities to use upgraded weapons and armor. In the later part of the game, players will concentrate on developing their characters to be more effective under any circumstance. One developer has stated, "We are planning to make the earlier part of character development relatively fast and the later part of development a bit slower but more abundant. This is because we decided that too much difference between characters abilities that affect combat result is not good for an FPS game."
Webzen has considered the fact that in most MMOs the players at earlier levels have no chance of beating those at the higher levels, and therefore they have adjusted the game to make skill more significant than long periods of playing the game and leveling up. Leveling up will give players advantages, such as more slots for upgrades and perhaps faster aiming, but a lower level player can still measure up to a higher one.]

how does everybody feel about this??

Give em guns when they're young, let em do fun shit when they get older. Sounds fine to me. Being stuck with small guns in an FPS always sucks.

I do think it's a good idea that you'll have to advance a ways before you get into the more in depth combat abilities. Which I do so hope there will be plenty of in lieu of the different classes and roles.

This game right now is at at interesting point, there are three types of people who are interested. The hard core RPG'rs we have been roleplaying since they were 5. The FPS addicts that are play css right now. And the people that see this idea and are daydreaming a perfect game that can and will be incredibly fun. I'm personaly an RPG'r and was excited enough when Star Wars: BattleFront 2 let me gain award weapons by killing enough people but this game looks like it can improve on that by 200x. I hope there is a way to customize your character to be a better pilot or rifleman or sniper, but i know there are people out there that are afraid this will take away there FPS element.

I think it would be awsome to be albe to choose your profession and to specialize in that. Like in Star Wars Galaxies where you choose a main proffesion and then there are subdivisions in that profession to specialize in.
