I hope one day there will be a fantasy MMOFPS. Kind of like a MMO Morrowind or Oblivion, only a bit more polished for a massive enviroment.

But Huxley is set in a post-apocalyptic world. That almost immediately guarantees that the game will be set in a sci-fi enviroment.

But how do you incorporate/balance melee combat with projectiles in an FPS game? It'd be kind of repetitive if EVERY player in a fantasy-style game either casted or shot arrows.

I didn't come here to play any fantasy games, this is hardcore FPS. I rather use a rocket launcher to blast every living cell to death in a foe rather than using a magical sword.

The settings are quite sci-fi though, so in that way it's a little bit of fantasy incorporated into the game.

Im still going to get the game but like accidental cannibal said it would have been cool for this game to be like oblivion or morrowind. Then there is that game called Dark Messiah of Might and Magic...but ehh Source Engine sucks.

It almost looks like an RPG, but they say it's an FPS. The graphics are supposed to be all cinematic quality.

Tabula Rasa looks more like a traditional RPG system with some FPS combat elements thrown in... they've mentioned that if your crosshair is over someone, they'll be hit, but the damage will be calculated dice-roll style. Another U3 engine game, Fury, makes the same claims about "FPS elements", but doesn't have much detail released yet. Both of these seem to be more MMORPG with some "FPS-inspired" elements.
